I recently stayed at the *Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort* and had a very relaxing experience. Here's a breakdown of the positives and negatives:
Positives
- The atmosphere was quiet and gave off an old-money luxurious feel, perfect for unwinding.
- The hotel offers a wide range of activities, and the architecture, especially in the lobby, is absolutely stunning.
- The front office staff were excellent, with special mention to Talia from guest relations and a wonderful intern from Cambodia (whose name I unfortunately forgot), both of whom were incredibly helpful and attentive.
- The rooms were spacious and well-appointed. I stayed on the 1st floor with a pool view, while my sister’s room on the 2nd floor had a balcony facing the golf course.
- Meals were overall great, with dinner being the standout thanks to the delicious Thai cuisine.
- The pastries at breakfast were top-notch.
- The resort's location is peaceful, away from the noise of Ao Nang, but not completely isolated.
A special thanks to Talia for her help, including at a local 7/11, and for explaining the ongoing renovation process, which leaves me looking forward to returning after the updates.

Very nice small resort. Quiet and perfect to relax with good equipment into the houses (I could even iron my clothes). The staff at the reception is very kind and supportive. They speak very good English.
Amidst the jungle, the Loy Challet is a new hotel in the Krabi area. The resort like expanse offers private units with exterior baths on the deck. The swimming pool is close by. No fancy facilities, but the unit is tremendously comfortable and romantic, and indeed answers to prestigious standards.
We can not fault it. Great location for sun, sand, sea, and nature. We love the breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. If we are back to Krabi. We will seriously consider Dusit Thani Beach Resort again. Thank you.
the only big minus point is: the quality of the food is not tasteful, everything is pre-cooked and just reheated - no fresh food! therefore it is not a 5 star hotel at all.
otherwise a very relaxing, quiet, clean and comfortable beach resort with all amenities, fitness center, (restaurants), great spa, nice pools with lots of sun loungers and shaded areas, direct access to the sea, play area for the kids and a great kids club etc.
Everything! It was such an amazing apartment! Such luxury and always cleaned immaculately. Our host was so kind, funny and friendly. I would stay here again any day. The resort is fairly quiet, which is perfect for a getaway or young couples.
Easy access to boat trips to Hong Island and Phra Nang Bay, not too far from Ao Nang and Krabi.
