The staff spoke excellent English. Our apartment had roll down storm shutters which made the rooms dark for sleeping. The bed was very comfortable. The cleaning staff came every day to make the bed, exchange any towels on the floor and take out the trash. There were two separate sink areas in the bathroom, one with the toilet and the other with the tub/shower. The was a garage under the apartment with an elevator to our floor. View out the back patio doors to the beautiful sand pool.

Back after 45 years...didn't remember that much as I was 16 then but...Penina still going strong! Seems that the hotel did not change too much. Opened in 1966 but well maintained! We loved it. Very good breakfast, friendly staff. Thanks for the provided service by shuttle bus to the beach!!

The entertainment has improved vastly. Big shout out to the entertainment team as they included both kids and adults in the afternoon workshops.

Overall meals were good. Actually, for me, it did improve compared to the previous stay. Yet, it's not one of the best compared to other hotels with all-inclusive programs.
The view of our room was mesmerizing. We were on the ninth floor. Had a spacious balcony with large room. The all inclusive concept was on point with one bar opens after the breakfast until dinner that has snacks and drinks. Air conditioning was nice.
This was a fab all inclusive resort. Great Food, loads of variety every day. Lovely staff. Rooms and public areas spotless at all times. Would highly recommend it. We were 3 generations with two small grandchildren.
What's there not to like about this resort? From the helpful information and assistance by the staff,to the clean rooms,to the gym,the indoor and outdoor swimming pool to the private beach behind the hotel, it's a place I want to come back to again..
This is a great hotel to stay in and the location was good considering the things I had to pick up close by..
Kudos to the team at pestana Alvor priaia premium beach resort .. I was impressed..
