The proximity to the beach cannot be understated. I absolutely loved having the variety of food and drinks with a water view.
My girlfriend and I steadily ate our way through the menu for the few days we were there. We managed to find many things we liked!
Also, my girlfriend and I befriended a few dogs at the resort that followed us around. The dog that spent the most time with us was a tan and white Aspin/Ascal named Charles.
I was sure to include Charles the dog in one of the pictures because he often followed us to our tables for meals. This meant a lot to us because we have dogs we are missing on our vacation.

Almost 30 years visiting the Philippines from New York, I’ve stayed at every type hotel/resort. A Villas is not a cookie cutter western style commercial hotel. It’s a small local hotel with a beautiful pool overlooking the Sea. At waterfront on both sides is a fishing village with wonderful families who I interacted with everyday, was invited to their parties, and invited to go fishing with them. All of this is the flavor of the Philippines. I don’t fly 9,000 miles to stay in a western type resort. 22 days at A Villas is a treat, understanding the culture. Many poor people, but I’ve never met more humble or happier people anywhere in the world. I stayed in the cottage (only 1) at waters edge, a/c, modern, clean, and I open my door and interacted with the fishing village folks everyday, who treated me like one of their own. It’s not a 3,4,5 Star Hilton, but it’s a wonderful experience. I actually became self appointed pool skimmer/cleaner everyday. Staff set the skimmer out for me daily. Staff got me a new scooter that I rented for $10.- day, and will be continuing this reveal for another week. I married my wife in the Philippines 29 years ago, she had to return to USA earlier than me. I’m very familiar with the Philippines. This offers the flavor of a local Philippine resort. I’ll be back. There will be a little culture shock for some, for sure, but there’s so much to be gained from this local hotel.

Absolutely top is the staff and the owner. Very friendly and helpful. Went out of their way to solve our problem with a car rental and organised alternative one. Great hospitality. The massive pool and beautiful tropical garden. Very tranquil, out of the hustle and bustle. Rooms are very spacious and super clean. This is a nice well kept oasis on the outskirts of the town.

Unobstructed views and direct access to pool and Ocean from rooms 1,2,3,4,5,6. 10 meters to pool, 60 meters to Ocean. Open air resturant is between pool and Ocean. Picture postcard setting. Very Tranquil. Food is excellent. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Dive boats parked in front. Set away from main road at Oceanfront so little noise. Staff can arrange scooters and I rented scooter by the month and I go exploring extensively.

It’s a beautiful location right on the water with a dive boat offshore where there are beautiful underwater sights. The staff’s attention to detail is exceptional.

It's a wonderful little resort in the extreme south of Negros. Just by its remote location it stands out from the rest. The owners made big investments to make this place real nice. The villas above the beach are just superb! The food of the restaurant it excellent and the communal dinners at the long table are great! There is a lot to like about this place and it's the most paradise like resort we stayed at during our Philippines trip!
As the name suggests, great views with the resort situated on a hill with views down the coast and out to sea. Great value for money and Brian and his staff are friendly hosts. Take a dip in the swimming pool or a walk down to the seaside. Food and beverages very affordable and tasty.
We visited this resort last year but our stay was too short. This time it was a longer stay and we couldn't be happier. we enjoy everything about this place from the room and the excellent kitchen staff.
You feel close to the nature, sleeping in a bamboo hut.
The hosts, Nicky and James are very welcoming and helpful and offered me to dive with them.
The restaurant menu is varied.
The sunsets are breathtaking.
You can also snorkel right in front of the resort and see amazing species.

The resort and beach are stunning. The bungalows have a fantastic view over the ocean with the most beautiful sunsets and are very well designed, spacious. Snorkeling is amazing!
The bed and pillows were very comfortable, it was not hot to sleep at night using the fan!
