Infinity pools are amazing and well maintained and pool Zumba was good really had fun.
Beach activities are good but a little expensive.
Rooms are super clean and have a very comfortable bedroom.
Massages are awesome, specially couples.

Booking.com cancelled my room and I didn't get the room I booked which was not Sugarsea's fault, however they accommodated me in a different room but only for one night and i had to pay the second night. You need ton realize that not everyone has access to emails when they are travelling and you could see that I had requested pick up so why would I not go on holiday. Booking.com you failed miserably with this, but the staff at Sugarsea were lovely.

The staff are extremely polite and accommodating. The entire resort was such a joy! So many activities to do - we chose this place because of the water park but also liked that there were tons of other things to do in case it rained... if you have kids, this is the PLACE to go. We enjoyed that there was a town right outside the resort we could walk out and enjoy local restaurants and ice cream etc. but also felt very secure with the security at the resort. There was entertainment every evening, LOTS of employees everywhere, and we overall had a very lovely time. Our kids are 9 and 10 and we felt safe with them exploring on their own, ordering mango smoothies at the bar and putting it on our room tab was one of the highlights for them. There are multiple swim-up bars, and we got the absolute best massages. There is a pool, a separate lazy river, the area with 3 water slides, and then the beach behind all that. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the variety of options.

We stayed in the hotel only for two nights to get our next flight, the hotel is near the airport. We also used the private beach resort of the hotel to which they have a shuttle service. (Is no sand beach however). We could also deposit some luggage in the hotel without any problem. Food/Drinks at the beach resort is basic, but you can let bring from hotel.
Lovely hotel for a stopover, this old girl is built in a lovely classic Asian beach resort style. 30 years on, the rooms are in want of a refresh. They’re still perfectly comfortable and functional and well maintained. This was our second stay here and we’d absolutely come back again.
Very high level of service, we really enjoyed. It’s well managed. Lot of staff, all very professional. Quiet and peaceful with a lot of nice features to explore. It’s a great option for a family resort holiday.
The beach resort was very clean. Salute to the housekeeping staffs as they are so hardworking and approachable. I like the design of the resort. Cultural but some rooms are a bit rusty. Our AC was leaking on the first night then on the third day it would not even get cold in the room. We let them know about the problem since day 1 but we are not fuzzy so we still stay in the same room but no one really followed up so anyways.
I've stayed at all luxury resorts in Cebu/Mactan and the Reef is by far the best when it comes to the breakfast. Great variation from day to day. One day I asked if the enchiladas contained pork, which they did and which I don't eat, so the helpful staff asked the chef to make a vegetarian enchilada for me. Overall 5/5.
First time I had an early check-in in Cebu in 10 years (we arrived at 11 and the room was ready). All other places you have to wait even if the room is ready.
The beach resort itself is terrific. Both pools and beaches are available during our stay. Our booking comes with a free kayak and other use of amenities as well.
They also offer shuttle services but with additional charges.
And foods served in their restobar are in big servings (good for sharing) and are presentable.
