Beautiful spot just off the coast of Bohol. Really lovely crew that can help you organize anything, a nice restaurant, great facilities like the pool, bike rental (very good bikes!) and of course diving. The family room was super spacious with 2 floors and 5 beds, great value. They are still constructing some spots due to the typhoon of 2021.

Rene's Diverslounge Resort, hotel in Calape

Facing the beachfront, Rene's Diverslounge Resort offers 2-star accommodations in Calape and features a garden, private beach area and restaurant.

Amazing cliffside views over the sea, down-to-earth owners, top notch rooms and delicious food. I booked because the prices were far less than Cabilao but had the same access for diving. Unfortunately I had ear problems (from previous dives in Siquijor) which limited me to one day of diving, but I couldn't hope for a better place to recuperate! The owners gave me medicine and also took me to a doctor in Calape for a checkup. The room was very nice and well maintained with a very clean bathroom, hot water and strong AC. The outside premises are extremely scenic with beautiful views of the sunset from the patio and dining room/ bar. The food is excellent, their pizzas are a must. I often had off-the-menu dinners and lunches with the owners' family, and we would chat afterwards over beer. The real highlight is the quiet and solitude - it's only an hour away from Panglao yet feels like another world. In sum, if you want excellent diving, homestyle food, quiet nights and good company, then this is the place for you!

My visit to Cabilao Resort in the Philippines was an amazing experience in every way. The atmosphere was excellent and a big thank you to the reception staff, the restaurant staff, and to Sir Julien and Roni in Cabilao Divers Center. I was very happy with my visit to this resort and I hope to visit it again. The diving was an excellent experience, without a doubt.

Excellent staff and owner ....very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The resort arranged a wonderful day's snorkelling on a nearby island for a very reasonable price....highly recommended. The resort is clean, quiet with all the facilities one requires.

The transportation is as much as the room cost, everything inside the resort is more expensive, including diving. It’s really really hard to get to this place. They don’t allow you to bring any food or drink, and they don’t sell snacks, so the only you can eat during your stay is their food. But the stuff are very nice

Very exclusive and peaceful. The food is amazing and Mafette’s cocktails a delight. We were treated like family, the diving personnel were amazing. We were very sad to leave this place. A piece of our hearts remained in the Cabilao Sanctuary Beach & Dive Resort. We almost selfishly did not want to review this property so it can remain a hidden treasure…but fair is fair. Come and visit this paradise.

We’ve been at Sandingan for 6 days (extended our stay) with 1 Infant, 1 6yr old and our parents and enjoyed our holiday on the Island. The place is very relaxed and well maintained. The rooms are in an unique design and cozy. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the owner as well. We had a pleasant stay with our family at Sandingan Island Resort and will definitely recommend it to friends and whoever is asking. Thanks to the team for making our family time so great.

To be honest I like how quite it is, But it turns to boring if you stay more than 2 nights. Staff were friendly, I love the welcome board, quite interesting. I was the only guest in the resort. So considering this might be not comfortable for night walk outside the room.
