The resort(s) we amazing. Ocean Vida and Buena Vida are owned by the same hotelier. If you stay at Buena Vida (which we did) you get to use the private beach and bar at Ocean Vida and breakfast is also served at Ocean Vida. The view from the restaurant is gorgeous as is the bar and private beach with it's eating areas and lounges. We added an extra day to our stay because we loved the place so much. Buena Vida is a two minute walk down a little laneway. It's tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main beach part of the island which we preferred. The decor of the resort and rooms are gorgeous and thoughtfully decorated. The staff give very personalized service, even down to the cute little personal notes before bed with some complimentary sweets. We felt very special because of the treatment of the staff at both resorts. Elmie at the bar at Ocean Vida is a superstar. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she was just lovely. The scuba diving that Sea Explorers (the onsite dive shop) provide is outstanding. The shop is organised, well run, our guide Rex was so amazing and we really appreciated having our own guide for the time we were there. The diveshop is a well oiled machine, good, well maintained equipment and boats and the corals and sharks in the area were wonderful. No bleached coral and so many colours and textures. We would 100% come here and dive here again and have plans to go again in the near future.

From the moment we arrived at the reception on the first day until the checkout on the last day, everything was perfect. The room, the restaurant, the location, and the safety were all excellent.
We are especially grateful to all the staff who took such great care of us. The 2-night stay at the Exotic Resort will be unforgettable.
We hope there still will have The happy hour event during our next vacation as well.

Great little hotel, right on the beach. Our 1st floor room was clean and comfortable with working hot water and a large balcony.
The restaurant and bar are on the beach and offer a good selection of western and local food. Live music at the weekend is a nice addition. Dive shop on premises so very convenient.

Everything was great it was very clean, quiet yet close to everything. Staff were very friendly and helpful. When we were starting early for a dive they made us delicious sandwiches for our breakfast to take with us. The breakfasts were really good. They warned us in advance about the blackouts and were very apologetic about them. However if you travel to remote islands this is to be expected and is certainly not the accommodation’s fault.
Travellers who truly “get away from it all” trust resorts to provide the pinnacle of all-inclusive relaxation. Resort guests are invited to enjoy communal onsite amenities like pools, spas, restaurants, activities, excursions and shops, and stay the night in luxurious private rooms, villas or apartments.
The restaurant and food were top notch and the staff were excellent as well. This resort truly exceeded my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone going to Malapascua island!

We booked the dive resort but unfortunately for us we ended up diving with another company as the resort didn't have enough people to do the dives on the days we had available.
The resort was lovely though - the staff are super friendly. The restaurant is 10/10. We didn't really eat anywhere else as we wanted to try the menu.
Our room was at the back and had the roosters going off all hours of the night - not a biggie.
The massages here were also really great and worth going to.
The Ocean Vida Resort is spectacular! The people are very helpfull and extremly kind, the rooms are beautiful, the beds are extraordinary, the food is nice, the beach is very clean and comfortable!
We liked it so much, that we extended our stay for 3 more nights!
You have everything you need in Ocean Vida, what makes it very difficult to explore the rest of the island :)
Crisol’s Beachfront Resort is an ideal place to relax in the island. It is quiet and the staff especially Edna and Tata are very attentive to our needs. Edna answered our questions and sent us a guide to go to with us around Malapascua from going to church and to the market to buy our needs. Edna cooked our delicious meals and was extremely punctual serving them. Thanks to Edna and her team, our stay was less stressful and more enjoyable because of them!
What did I like? Absolutely nothing about this property. The rooms were outdated; the toilet was broken (no water) and not repaired during the three night stay; the dive experiences were awful in part because there were 25 boats (from this and other "resorts" within ten minutes walking distance) each with 15+ guests on each boat. That equates to 375 divers diving every day at any one (very small) dive site. It was ludicrous and completely unmemorable.
Everything was great : the bedroom was big and really comfortable with AC, the terrace in front of the room is really a plus, the restaurant and beach bar were perfect, food was really good and beverage also, the access to longchairs on the beach, the proximity with the beach and everything you need, we enjoyed every moment! Also, all the staff was so kind, really concerned and attentive to our need, we highly recommend this resort
Great beds and beautiful hotel. Looks really like a spa with the set up, the Buddha and the jacuzzi.
Breakfast is in Ocean Vida resort, what is a 3min walk, but with Seaview and the best Breakfast in ages I had. Really nice and you can also have lunch or dinner there and put it on your room number and pay at check out. Definitely a nice place to stay. Also the beds were comfy and a big balcony...
I think it's one of the best place to stay in this tiny island. Room is spacious and clean. I like it the most that the aircon is not directly facing the bed. Nice balcony looking right into the ocean. And popular restaurant and dive shop inside the resort.
