Aldar Inn, hotel in Al ‘Aqar

Situated in Nizwa, 300 metres from Nizwa Fort, Aldar Inn features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. The resort has family rooms.

- Location! Fabulous, 1 min walk to the fort. Located in ancient Nizwa heritage quarter. Set on an unpaved road, which adds to the special ambiance of Aldar Inn. Surrounded by palm groves. Lots of commerce nearby for convenience cafes, sandwich shops, groceries. - The property: three separate buildings, the reception hall, the garden, the palm grove, swimming pool - such a pleasant beatiful setting. - Room comfort: value for money. Toilet amenities provided (tooth brush, sopa, shampoo, etc...) comfortable bed and pillows. View to the garden and palm grove. Nice ambiance, with a vintage chic touch. - The lawn was so pleasant to sit on, with a majlis kind of mat where we sat on to have a meal. - The swing! - Front house staff were impeccable: courteous, kind, attentive and professional. I travelled w my 5 yr old daughter, they were so kind, offering treats to her, and really making my single parenting easier w their special touches. They really made my time at Aldar memorable. Thank you Mohamed, Ms Shayma and Yusuf! Cleaning staff and gardener were also very pleasant.

Amazing, tranquil location. Staff, especially Rajib at the reception desk, are extremely helpful and go an extra mile to make sure that you have nothing to worry about. Can only recommend the resort if you want to escape busy city life and enjoy few days of peace and quiet.

The renovation of these old Omani mountain villages is tasteful and sensitive. Staying here felt like a really authentic experience, but with modern luxury in the bathrooms and bedding. The young Omani owner is kind and welcoming. The dinner was abundant and delicious. You have fantastic views and easy access to the W18b Three Villages walk which is amazing.

This is a small beautiful resort. It’s got great views of the valley from its terrace. The people are so warm & happy to serve. The outdoor room terrace was our fav place. Be sure to ask for a room with a terrace for enhanced views and privacy. The pool was refreshing. The meals were nice, limited menu. The big restaurant's cloth roof is quite noisy when it’s windy. Not a fancy ultra-luxury place, but it’s very real, cosy, relaxing and refreshing levels of eagerness to serve by the small No of people.

Its a luxury resort with the most amazing views. Don't get me wrong its very expensive but its an 'experience'. Beautiful scenery. We stayed in a villa and was perfect for families and did feel like luxury with small private pool. Highly recommend also taking the walking tour of the nearby villages (one of the high points- no pun intended)
