This is a very unique resort in a unique location. The resort is beautifully designed and laid out, with a range of activities, including water sports as well as various cosy spots to sit and read/play chess etc inside. Food was excellent and staff were lovely.
Le Meridien is beautifully located, with a gorgeous lagoon, white sand and close to the Naturelle Piscine, one of the Ile des Pins' natural wonders. It is a great resort, with large comfy beds and a feeling of luxury. We spent five nights here as a family of four and relaxed completely.
The location and setting of the resort is AMAZING. Speechless views as soon as you enter the lobby. Staff were exceptionally helpful and lovely. Beaches are to die for with the crystal clear blue water and white sand.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was comfortable. Great supply of activities and amenities. The resort was so beautiful and authentically New Caledonian. Catharine's spa treatment was brilliant.
It was a bit chilly when we were there at the end of July, so no one was using the pool. It really could have done to have been slightly heated. The resort itself is getting a little old but it is in a stunning location with beautiful views of the beach. The food in the restaurant was generally very good although we ordered the crayfish one night and it was very over-done, but we didn't complain. Overall a lovely place to stay in a stunning location. The rooms were well sized but the bathrooms definitely needed updating.
The location is superb. This is one of the prime spots on the Isle of Pines and Oro Bay is directly outside. The Piscine Naturelle d’Oro is only a few minutes drive away. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was easy to rent a car and organise activities. The food was generally good (see below for an exception to this). It's really the only resort type place on the Isle of Pines.
It was a lovely tranquil resort, rooms were idyllic and had the most comfy beds. There was a big selection for breakfast which we ate lots of and then only had dinner in the evening. The pool was lovely but was cold. We ate at the restaurant and also at the snack bar and had burgers. The beef burgers are delicious.
Amazing location, absolutely magical, beautiful resort and golden sandy beach.Exploring the routes to the natural pool and snorkeling with some great fish.
