We stayed in the overwater bungalow, not deluxe but arguably better. Suite 167 is right above the ‘turtle haven’ where they are regularly spotted.
Staff were very friendly and hospitable.
Very easy transport between the island and mainland Noumea.
Beautiful island escape. Overwater luxury bungalow was amazing. Sea was warm, plenty of turtles swimming. Picture perfect scenery. Easy transfers via the ferry. Varied delicious buffet breakfast included.
The location was fantastic, 30 minutes from Noumea and the regular ferry made it easy to go back and forth from the resort to the mainland. The beach was great and snorkeling with the turtles was my highlight. Fantastic pool and cooling off in the 30+ weather at the pool bar was cool.
Really fantastic resort on the Island, especially enjoyed the over water bungalow accommodation. Check in was really easy, mostly done at the ferry office on the main island and completed on arrival. Room was very comfortable, useful information provided in the room. Also liked that the resort in in an ecological area, lots of wildlife around to see - good warning signs about the banded kraits as well.
We stayed in an overwater bungalow and that was amazing to see the turtles fish etc swimming past. Also by lowering the stairs we were able to access the water and swim and snorkel in front of your accommodation. The bungalow was spacious, comfortable bed, good shower and bath. Air condition worked fine but only capable to control the bedroom and not the whole unit, a ceiling fan did help a bit.
We stayed in a Deluxe over the water bungalow and it was beautiful! So relaxing, beautiful and fun. We swam with turtles off the beach / bungalow. I loved the bath in our room and the pool options (deep / shallow). The resort is beautiful and so is the island.
The buffet breakfast was quite good, and with plenty of options. Plus you can prepare sandwiches and take food out for lunch or dinner. The snorkeling around the island is really good, especially out past the overwater bungalows. The staff is friendly and helpful. Compared to other resorts in New Caledonia, this place is fantastic.
