Beautiful rooms nestled into a lush jungle setting. Comfortable beds and big rooms. All facilities are clean and well maintained. I really enjoyed laying on the porch hammock listening to the sounds of the jungle and looking for animals. We were lucking enough to spot 4 orangutans at the resort. This was the best hotel we stayed during our 2 weeks in Borneo.
Because this is a smaller resort than others in the area, you can end up having private boat tours with the guide when everyone else on the river is in a boat of 6-15 people. We were lucky enough to see a herd of elephants and an orangutan along the river!
The staff at the resort are lovely, especially the tour guide (Kai).
Great value for money. Lovely hotel with history. Well worth staying. As good as many other luxurious resorts and staff are excellent 😍would highly recommend it if you are in Sandakan. Beautiful pool and surroundings
This resort is at the door of one of Borneo's forest. Close to many of its natural attractions and ecosystems, such as the Ourangoutang, Sun Bear, and Probocsis Monkey. Absolutely amazing!
Fantastic resort, great location, excellent design, spacious rooms, helpful, polite and smiling staff, very good food. We much appreciated the setting in nature, being close to the rainforest. We were so lucky - after breakfast a mother orangutan with its baby sitting on a tree just beside the outside restaurant.....
