I recently stayed at the Green Lake View Yala Resort in Tissamaharama with my spouse, and it was a truly refreshing experience. The resort is located in a serene and quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of the main road, making it the perfect retreat for anyone seeking peace and relaxation. Situated right in front of the picturesque Debarawewa Tank, the continuous breeze flowing towards the property adds to the charm of the environment.
The ample parking space and well-maintained garden immediately caught our attention. The garden features a quaint little hut with a roof made from woven coconut fronds, where my partner and I spent hours enjoying the soothing surroundings and the gentle breeze. It was the perfect spot to unwind, even late into the night.
What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by the manager. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and responsive to our needs, making us feel welcome and well cared for throughout our stay. Although the resort is not a high-end luxury property, it exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and tranquility. The quiet time we spent there allowed us to fully recharge and refresh ourselves, leaving us completely satisfied with our experience.
Only a 5-minute drive from the famous Yala National Park is Cinnamon Wild Yala. It boasts chalets with private balconies and free Wi-Fi. It features an outdoor pool and a restaurant.

The property is beautiful, we stayed in a Jungle Chalet and it was perfect. The room was big, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern and spotless. The staff are the highlight of this hotel, many have worked there for years and love it. Specific shoutout to Ravindra, our escort who took us on a detour to see the elephant that had come into the hotel grounds! That was a highlight of our stay.
We did two safaris too and they were great, the hotel managed this all.
Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It's just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance.

The property is exactly as described and even though there is only one restaurant - the options are plenty - we were so stuffed with the great food (kudos to the chef) and the service was exemplary. The tents are luxurious and very tastefully furnished.
