Visited at the end of a tour around Sri Lanka. We had a really nice cabin with a really comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. Since we both need to eat gluten free, the manager and chef took really good care of us, serving us safe and very tasty food. The area is really quiet at night and the pool is nice as well.
Much nicer than staying in negombo in my opinion.

The first night the aircon didn't work, that room was super humid and the bathroom wasn't super clean due to that. The second night we got another room because of that, that room was a lot better. In both rooms was no real hot watter though. Breakfast was quite simple, but good. Massage was very nice

Wonderful staff, warm welcome, very spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Had a great nights sleep as it was super quiet on the riverside. We loved the large bathroom overlooking the river. The breakfast had a great set menu of choices. Delicious waffles and pancakes. There are options to go to the beach, the pool, or go kayaking on the river. We played cricket with the staff sometimes which my son loved. Great place for the family to enjoy and relax before departing Sri Lanka.

massage treatment we had was great, and we asked for the sru Lankan breakfast which was great. ordered a meal and it was surprisingly good, and the service was excellent.

Perfect stay at the Karanukarala Ayurveda resort, especially the Ayurveda treatment was wonderful.
In the beginning, the crew told me it was fully booked, but in the end, they managed to schedule it for me.
The room was big, and really clean and the beds were very comfortable.
I enjoyed my stay there, especially to relax (recommend the yoga and meditation classes).

Just a lovely resort, just along the river and on very green grounds! The staff were super friendly and helpful and kindly gave us an upgrade and the chalets were simply gorgeous and had very fancy toilets. We rented brand new bicycles from the hotel and cycled out to the little fishing villages of the surrounding beaches and out to see the tile factories. The resort offers different treatments and yoga sessions.
It is a little paradise, where you can truly relax. The owner found a perfect balance between resort-like amenities and homestay atmosphere. Everything super clean and comfortable, good food in the restaurant, super friendly staff.
