Staying here was the perfect way to finish my 3 week trip in Japan. Usami is a quiet town on the beach and great for relaxing. This property is in a great location in Usami, just a few minutes walk from the train station and the beach. From here it’s also easy to day trip to other areas in Izu. I did an awesome day trip to Jogasaki Coast!
The facilities were spacious and clean, and the hot spring, foot bath, and balcony were great additions to the property. Lastly the property owners were incredibly friendly and hospitable. They helped make my time in Usami memorable. If I come back to Izu I’ll definitely look to stay here again.

Fantastic place, fantastic people and staff. Breakfast is also phenomenal.
Travelers who really want to “get away from it all” trust resorts to provide the pinnacle of all-inclusive relaxation. Resort guests are invited to enjoy communal on-site amenities like pools, spas, restaurants, activities, excursions, and shops, and stay the night in luxurious private rooms, villas, or apartments.
The public bath and its facilities were good. It had both indoors and outdoors. The view in the day of the sea was good. The rooms were spacious. There were resort style clothing which was easy to wear, as compared to a traditional yukata.
Isana resort is the perfect hidden gem accommodation. The private onsen overlooking the water was so lovely, however our favourite part of our stay was the amazing food and incredibly helpful staff. We were caught out on one day and didn't arrange transport in advance, and the staff went out of their way to drop us off at Mt Omaru on the way home from their shift. Staying here was the most special part of our trip
Great short vacation stay that you can access from Tokyo in several hours. It is really enjoyable to get relaxed both physically and mentally after hard work. The dinner provided by the resort was awesome.
Albeit a bit old, Isana is nice and quiet. We had a room with our own onsen on the balcony. Very nice. There is also a large onsen which you can reserve. We were overlook the sea which is a very short walk away. Staff were very helpful. We were fortunate to have Japanese friends who live in Izu and who took us around. Izu is an historical place. It is difficult to stay in Isana if you have no transport. The resort has few meal options, and any shop or restaurant is quiet a distance away.
We visited during the off-season. We loved the quiet neighborhood, perfect for walking and exploring as a couple. The resort itself was very well kept and beautiful! We loved that the resort was small, only having perhaps 10-20 rooms. We felt like we had individual service whenever we needed it and privacy when we didn't. The private onsen in our room had an amazing view of the coastline.
This place was 200% fantastic. The host picked me up at the train station and we headed to the resort after made a short stop at the convenience store. The resort was well decorated and just next to the seaside. I enjoyed the sunshine and rain in the private bath with the sea view, and that was so relaxing. The breakfast and 7 course-dinner was extraordinary (check out pics, they will speak for themselves) I highly recommend this place to everyone
Everything was amazing! The staff were so helpful, caring and generous. The 10pm homemade ramen by the staff was unbelievable. The comfy bed , the traditional clothing and the private onsens made the experience that much better. Didn’t matter that we don’t speak Japanese either , they were happy to help and some spoke good English. It is like a whole resort. So fun and fulfilling. Will definitely be going back.
The property is a big dated resort with a romantic charm. The kids enjoyed the stay and rooms were clean. There were ongoing works to maintain the property. The outdoor part of the onsen overlooks some pretty views and is clean.
