Loved the rustic exterior of this property and the recently refurbished rooms. Handy position as we were able to make the hotel a base for our Tuscan sightseeing. Great pool and area surrounding and the view from the exterior dining area provided a beautiful backdrop. The restaurant managed brilliantly by Marco was fabulous for breakfast and dinner. Marco always made us feel like old friends with his large personality, humorous banter and his knowledge of wines and music. A special mention to Pierro who was exceedingly helpful, thoroughly engaging and a genuinely lovely soul. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him when assisting us and we truly valued his warm and friendly demeanour.
Paolo and Eramania (sp?) also added to the joy of being in the bar/restaurant and contributed to creating a very memorable stay for us. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this property.

The grounds of the accommodation are stunning. The location is easy to access via car, off of a main road, and is a very good central base to travel around Val D'Orcia. The rooms are spacious and the bed was comfortable. The wi-fi worked well.
The breakfast, should you choose to order it for Euro 8 each, was simple and tasty and arrived in a cute wooden box. You can order a savoury or sweet breakfast. The savoury breakfast comes with a hard boiled egg, a salami sandwich and some fruit. The sweet breakfast comes with pastries, granola, yogurt and fruit. We found it more than plentiful. There is a coffee machine that uses pods. The accommodation provided 2 pods initially, and provided additional pods with out breakfast.
The attached restaurant (Fondo) was excellent. It is not open on Mondays, but we ate there on the Sunday and the Tuesday of our stay. I would highly recommend.

Lovely staff, beautiful surroundings quiet and easy access to Montepulciano just 15 mins away. The best part was our Wine degustation experience with Ivan, he was absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable, highly recommended!

Castello di Gargonza is a very special place. The views from our suite were sublime and my morning swim was heavenly! Our room was extremely comfortable - air-conditioned, with an enormous, super-comfortable bed and a huge bathroom. Decor-wise, it all looked newly done. The breakfast was great and we had a delicious lunch - homemade truffle pasta (which would have cost double in England!). The staff are all lovely and everything is extremely good value for money. The journey from Florence airport was easy and the drive up to Gargonza is breathtaking. It is very well positioned for visiting all our favourite places in Tuscany. We are already planning our next visit.
