Excellent resort suitable as an event venue or as a start for a trip exploring Assam. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We particularly appreciated that the staff involved us in the various festivals going on in the resort, including the harvest festival, for which there was a special menu in the restaurant. The resort is located just at the edge Guwahati, somewhat uphill, meaning that the air quality is much better than in the city, especially in the evenings.
The Greenwood is a little island of functional luxury in Beltola, very near the main highway taking you out of Guwahati. Staff if responsive and helpful, food (buffet breakfast is very good) and the rooms and clean, comfortable and very well done up. Perfect stay for a travelling businessman or tourist. They allowed us to check in a bit early (had discussed it beforehand) and made us comfortable even as we waited.
The service, care and attention from the staff is exceptional. The restaurant and the choice at breakfast is excellent. Guwahati is a busy, noisy and dusty town. The Greenwood resort is an oasis of calm and beautiful gardens which I found very relaxing.
