Navutu Stars Resort, hotel in Matayalevu

Navutu Stars Resort is the only boutique resort on the secluded island of Yaqeta, with just 9 beachfront bungalows spread along 3 pristine white-sand beaches.

Beautiful island. Incredible accomodation. Room was cool, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Chairs and hammock out the front of our burre so we could relax in comfort with a great view. Breakfast was basic but tasty. Lunch and dinner was EXCEPTIONAL. Hats off to the chefs who produce some outstanding meals. The four dogs on the island were so sweet and friendly. They are obviously very well looked after and loved unlike other dogs we have seen in Fiji who, sadly, do not have the same beautiful life.

Mai Sunset Island Resort, hotel in Matayalevu

Mai Sunset Island Resort has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Naviti Island. The accommodation features evening entertainment and free WiFi.

A stunning location, on a deserted long beach with a lovely reef just offshore. It has just opened, and I was one of only a handful of guests. The staff were all amazing, so friendly and helpful. The main building had a lovely dining area to get food and drinks, and the food package was good, with a decent menu of options, unlike the mandatory buffets at other bigger Yasawa resorts. It is $140 for lunch/dinner/breakfast on top of the room mate. You can arrange a massage for a very reasonable price of approx $60 FJD. The rooms are brand new and come with lovely outdoor showers. There’s no air con, but with the insect screened windows and the sea breeze I was perfectly cool at night (it is hot during the day). You can snorkel right offshore, and staff also kindly offered to escort me to outer reef to snorkel. I would recommend buying a longer and sturdier ladder for the side of the boat, as whilst I’m admittedly not the fittest, I couldn’t climb back in. Not an issue close to shore as I swam back, but for other less fit or older guests a better ladder is needed. There’s good wifi in the main building, which is great to stay connected but allow you to switch off in your room

We loved the small resort vibes with there only being a handful of bungalows. The staff were all so lovely and the whole place had an amazing chill vibe. The best was the island doggos who came paddling boarding with us! Beautiful and spacious rooms and loved all the small details.

The staff were wonderful. The bures were large and comfortable on beachfront had a Greek Island vibe. With only 10 bures it is a very intimate resort. We had a wonderful group of guests and made friends There for 6 nts was a good relaxing time. No tv no night time entertainment , only what we made as guests.

Our stay at Navutu was really wonderful. The best aspect of the resort is the wonderful staff, always friendly and super helpful, who look after you in every way possible. It was really more like staying with friends than the usual hotel/resort experience. The location of the resort was also wonderful. Great swimming and even some snorkelling just off the resort. A lovely setting with beach, coconut palms and fantastic views. We would highly recommend Navutu as a holiday destination.

I LOVED staying here! I went alone (and was worried it would be all honeymoon couples it wasn't like that at all). Its such a small resort, I ended up chatting with quite a few people. The perfect place to have good alone time (don't expect the internet to work), the team are absolutely wonderful - I wish they had name tags as I was embarrassed that they all knew my name & I could't remember theirs! Would 100% go back- beautiful room, friendly staff, dogs, snorkelling and napping. Thank you for making my trip so wonderful.

I can not refuse to live here. Navutu Stars Resort is a quiet, exquisite place. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Importantly, a smart dog called Dolly, and you can snorkelling and boating with her. Sometimes, I'll be jealous she can live here forever.

The people! The food, the bures, the view out to sea, the pool and the activities are wonderful but it is the people that make this little spot so special. Not only did we feel like we were part of a Fijian family, we also made some very good friends in the other guests, as it is so intimate and chill. Oh, and Dolly, Pinky and Snow White, the resort dogs, were the sweetest additions.
