Travellers who truly “get away from it all” trust resorts to provide the pinnacle of all-inclusive relaxation. Resort guests are invited to enjoy communal onsite amenities like pools, spas, restaurants, activities, excursions and shops, and stay the night in luxurious private rooms, villas or apartments.
We especially liked the privacy of this cabin. There are many cabins in this complex and we are not sure any had as private a lot as us. The firepit was totally surrounded by a hedge and we couldn't even see our neighbours. Karen provided us with a propane firepit as there was a fire ban during our stay. We were able to sit around it in the evenings and enjoy s'mores. This is like luxury glamping because of the firepit experience. Also loved the sun on the front deck which extended our afternoons.
The atmosphere of the resort was peaceful. Loved how quiet the room were. The cable box did not work well in the room, but that gave us an excuse to walk around in the evening. Will come back again for the ocean side suites.
Nothing against the resort, we had a power outage. That's just part of the west coast experience. Located close to the pub, and Cafe. Pet friendly. Adequate wifi.
The Hiker's Huts are simple, clean, cozy and inexpensive. We had intended to pitch our tent in Sooke, but the weather turned cold and wet. At Trailhead Resort, we had a good night's sleep on a comfortable mattress, in a warm, dry hut. The bathrooms and showers were super clean. Loved it!
