We had an excellent stay at Hopkins Bay Resort, we can’t wait to return with family and friends. The resort is on one side of Hopkins so away from the busyness but close enough to get into town by bike or golf cart (would suggest renting the cart if you want to go to Jaguar Reef). Food and drinks are excellent and reasonably priced, staff is amazing and so accommodating, and accommodations are exactly as pictured. Even though our villa was not on the beach, we woke up to an amazing view of the ocean from our balcony. We went during off season so very serene, quiet, and peaceful. We basically had the resort to ourselves. Also, we only stayed for a few days, as we split our vacation between Hopkins and Caye Caulker, but we made the most of the few days we were there. I would suggest the Garifuna Cultural Tour, Driftwood for drumming on Tuesdays or Saturdays, catching ghost crabs at night at the resort, and watching the manatees at The Dock Bar (at The Lodge on Jaguar Reef). For being on the main land location was nice, close to restaurants and food stores. We rented a car to get around since airport is about 2 hrs away. House was beautiful, it was a joy to stay there.

The location of Villa Margarita was really good. Right next to a beautiful beach. We also had a nice swimming pool right outside our door. The bed was comfortable. The concierge was always helpful in arranging our trips.

Liked that it was an island - no hustle & bustel, everyone was very friendly! Met a lot of very nice people ( staff & guest) we asked for a table and 4 chairs in my room and they did accommodate us and found out 3 days into my stay they do have mini fridges and they brought one to my room . It was my husbands birthday while we was there and they baked him a cake and decorated. Even did happy bday song…

The breakfast was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The owner was kind enough to help arrange transportation as well. The drinks at the beach bar were better than the big fancy resort down the street and better than the nearby restaurant.
Our extended family rented a 3 bedroom villa and 1 bedroom suite. The accommodations were great with plenty of room. It was a small resort so not far between our units and close to restaurant and pool. The grounds were well maintained, food was good. Nice to have bikes we could use to ride into the village.
Great location, it’s a newer resort, so everything was drag and clean. The staff were awesome, friendly, and accommodating. The beach was well kept and the pool was clean.

The villa was beautiful. The back had a mini pool and sitting area which was lovely. The lodge itself was great. The landscaping was well maintained, the beach was gorgeous and clean. We loved the complementary use of the bikes, paddle boards and kayaks. The staff was fantastic. Everyone was friendly, kind and professional. We would definitely come back and also stay at the sister resort at Sleeping Giant.
