Coral Sands Beach Resort, hotel in Bridgetown

Coral Sands Beach Resort offers tranquil beachfront studios on Barbados’ south coast, 10 km from the airport.

Location is wonderful - go through the locked gate and you're on the beach. Also ideal for a short walk into The Gap for lively nightlife. There are, however, a few local bars and restaurants even closer - we tried those too. Massey's grocery five minutes walk, as is another food store (with an amazing range of vegan products). Also Worthing Square Food Court is nearby - a number of food trucks and stalls with plenty of seating, and a stage with live music/DJ. Good fun on most nights of the week. This is quite a small hotel and it felt like being at home. Staff were the BEST! All were super friendly, chatty, helpful and seemed to enjoy their work day. Our room was lovely - from the photos it looked a little dated - but I think it's just the style. Everything was very comfortable and clean. Very well equipped for cooking also. Large balcony overlooking the ocean too -what more could we wish for?

The property was amazing, the view of the beach from our room was stunning! The room itself was excellent equipped and amazingly clean. Staff throughout the hotel were incredibly friendly. The resort was brilliantly located to the beach as well as the shops and restaurants.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was excellent. The resort itself was well maintained and clean. The beach was a good size with plenty of loungers so you were never short on space. We really enjoyed our stay here!

It had been a very enjoyable stay in Sugar Bay Resort. Special thanks to Latina at the concierge who has been super helpful. All the staff in the resort are very friendly, including those in the concierge, restaurants, room services and on the beach. We told the concierge that the bathroom fan is not working, by the time we came back from the beach few hours later, it was fixed, super!! All restaurants are good, quite a lot of choices and foods are delicious. The resort is right on the beautiful beach. The sand is white and soft.

I visited alone and met so many friendly people during my stay. The property is exceptionally clean at all times. This is a smaller, more quaint resort, which I loved.

The two restaurants are very good - highly recommended. Buffet food in the evening is ok but not great. Like most buffet experiences , keeping food at the right temperatures is a challenge. There is a good variety though. The beach , loungers and swimming are the best part of this resort - location is fantastic. The beach bar is also great. Attitude of the staff can be a bit variable but that was true of everywhere we went on the island.

Although this hotel is pricey for what you get its better than doing self catering because Barbados is expensive. The cocktails are great, service good, food is as you'd expect from all inclusive but in general good and plenty of it. The resort is small and in a private bay and very few kids which is what we liked. Special mention to Tyrese who is a great young guy and an asset to the hotel.

Food was really good - there was a good mix of local and international dishes and everything was well flavoured. Other all inclusives tend to make their food bland for Americans. Resort is ideal size for a few days. We were able to eat at the 2 dinner restaurants and the two lunch restaurants, use the gym and the Mongoose bar. Front desk staff were also extremely friendly and helpful
