The pools and views are amazing. The rooms are great - very large and spacious and well equipped and clean. Perfect kitchenettes with laundry and full-size fridge, tons of cupboard space. I love eating out but it was also nice to do a full grocery haul and not have to worry about space. Very close walk to the strip where the restaurants and shops are. Quiet hotel also. Pools look beautiful at night with the lights and the view of the ocean during the day is spectacular.

This gem of a retreat was exactly what me and my husband needed after a rough year. We stayed in December at the height of the wet season. It rained at various levels 3 out of the 4 days we were there but that did not affect our experience in the least. I believe it added to it. Soon after arriving I booked not 1 but 2 spa sessions; a massage and the next day a salt scrub. I felt so rejuvenated! One should not miss out on the spa experience. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. I even did Yoga every morning because Eva made it enjoyable and I don't do Yoga. The rooms were very clean, well stocked (drinks, bug spray, sun block, etc.) and quite comfortable. We love that there are only 10 huts with a max of 20 adults. We lucked out and had the place to ourselves for the first 24 hours. More couples arrived in the days that followed and everyone was so lovely to get along with. We did a whole lot of nothing during our stay which is exactly why I booked Elysian. However, if you want to do some non-motorized water activities those are available along with some hiking. We enjoyed all the delicious 5 star meals and drinks! The property is a dream and we are looking forward to going back someday.
Note: We were able to take the amphibious boat in from Airlie Beach. If you are going in and out of Hamilton Island, you do need take a helicopter.

The location was amazing. The facilities were amazing. The food and drinks were outstanding. But the one thing that made our stay everything, was the impeccable staff. Every single staff member were fantastic people. Friendly, polite, outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic. We have never come across staff members in any location, who come close to that amazing group of people. They truly are an asset to the resort. We both wish them all the best in their future, and thank them for such an outstanding job.
Relaxing, casual 16+ adult resort, at times we felt like we were in Fiji. Loved the hammock on our verandah of our beach front bure. Didn’t need to wear shoes around the resort., although walking shoes are required on all trail walks. The sunsets + sunrises are amazing!! Enjoyed kayaking to see turtles + lots of tropical fish water was really clear. We also were lucky to see a whale.
The staff were all super friendly and relaxed, which just added to the quiet, peaceful and relaxing nature of the resort. Being adults only meant that we felt in complete peace the entire time. We wish we had have stayed longer, that's how much the resort exceeded our expectations, and certainly will do next time we are up this way!!! The Kayaks were also very comfortable to be in, meaning my pregnant wife and I spent hours each day on the crystal clear waters out front of the resort. 10/10 for us! :)
This island resort is paradise! Our room a beach bungalow was bigger than expected with fantastic views, picture perfect.
All the staff were super friendly and also very attentive and helpful.
The food was amazing. Jono the chief is producing exceptional meals- we come from Melbourne so the bar is high. Everything we ate was beautifully presented and delicious. Definitely 5 stars.
Terrific location, beach OK. Accommodation, resort layout and pool area excellent.
Restuarant, food and pricing excellent and the best staff we have dealt with in years, very professional and friendly.
Having no TV, WiFi and no screaming kids a bonus:-) Have already recommended to friends.
The beach view was sublime and the laid back approach of the whole resort is wonderful. The restaurant was very reasonably priced and the food was excellent.
I absolutely adored my stay at the private resort, particularly relishing the villa nestled next to the beach. The restaurant offered a delightful variety of cuisine, and I cherished the freedom to kayak, snorkel, and paddle at my leisure. Moreover, I was impressed by the care taken by the staff, ensuring my safety by tracking my whereabouts when exploring the hiking trails on both sides of the property.
Palm bay itself is beautiful. Since the resort was in the middle of a national park, there were adorable wallabies at the resort at all times. I liked the resort having several spots from which the sunset can be seen with a nice drink in hand. The staff allowed us to shorten our stay by a night without any fuss.
Beautiful island. Resort is small, nice pool, good catering.
