A return stay so will reiterate the same positives - great location with nearby restaurants and convenience stores, large spacious room, lots of hot water in the shower (a luxury before/after hiking). Happy to keep my luggage for a week while I hiked, pleasant reception staff. Didn't make use of any additional facilities.
The ambience of the place. Lovely to stay in a house built in 1863 and tastefully renovated to retain the original features. Luxury. The bed was so comfortable, excellent mattress. The views over the city were fantastic. So easy to walk into the city without having to take the car and lovely, helpful lady on reception.
This place was beautiful and presented a charm of luxury. Room was very spacious and comfortable with high ceiling. Location at the top of the hill, but not far to pubs and restaurants.
Beautiful boutique hotel in a refurbished mansion. Less than 10 min drive from the Cataract Gorge. Rooms are well furnished with modern amenities that we felt conflicted that we were not spending more time enjoying the luxury. We had 2 bedrooms, and each room had a HD TV with Netflix access.
Friendly owner who gave us plenty of dining recommendations.
After staying at Country Club Tasmania resort, I thought the villa will be at least a little luxurious but it's pretty standard. The location is always a bonus though
The ground of the resort was lovely with local fauna and the architect of the building is beautiful to explore. Also the pool was nice, though could be bigger. I like how it provides nice body lotion as a free amenity. The demographic of people staying seem to be older generation getting away to enjoy a bit of casino.
