Hotel in Port Vila
Located 6 km from Konanda Reef, Travellers Motel Vanuatu offers 3-star accommodation in Port Vila and features an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a shared lounge. We loved everything! Such a nice laid back atmosphere and super comfy beds (we slept like babies). The common areas are lovely and we just had the best vibe with people. It is also very close by the places in the pictures, there are also some stores right next to it and of course wifi, ac, etc Oh and the laundry was crazy fast and super nicely done!

Hotel in Port Vila
Set in Port Vila and with Konanda Reef reachable within 5.4 km, Crystal Beach Hotel offers a tour desk, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a terrace. I’ve been traveling to Vanuatu since 2018. I’ve stayed in nearly every “budget,” a bunch of affordable, and a few ritzy spots. This spot for its price cannot be beat. Clean, running water, overly accommodating staff. Seriously, they washed my clothes and offered me a bigger room because it was available. What set them apart is they refunded me for the first night of my three night stay since I was unable to check in until day two because of a flight delay. And they let me check in at 9am because the room was ready! Look. Vanuatu is a silly expensive country. I’d say ludicrous at times. This hotel is worth it. Work with the staff and they will ensure you have working A/C, wi-if (given no storms), a bed, and a quiet space in the heart of Vila (which is very hard to find).

A good base for exploring Efate , make/ do your own expeditions rather than cruise ship oriented ones ask the locals and don't be shy about hiring local boats to explore the offshore islands way more fun that way
Port Vila is great, but get out and see the islands and the rest of Efate and surrounding islands too, it's like stepping back in time. The snorkelling is outstanding. And the people are very warm and friendly.
Port Vila itself isnt anything to write home about but it gives you access to Vanuatu. One of the best countries I've ever visited. There's lots you can do from Port Vila itself like Melé Cascades, Blue Lagoon, Hideaway Island all on efate island but get to some of the other islands as well. They ate anazing. In Port Vila Reefers and the Lava Lounge are good to eat and drink or the cheaper more authentic Mama's food market at the back of the market.
Everybody was very friendly and made our stay worth while. It is such a culture shock but it seems to work for them. It was also great to learn about their culture and Efate is only a day trip to look at the whole island. Would recommend people to go and stay for a week to really experience its full beauty.
People great. I liked the chaos of Vila. Bus transport cheap and chance to meet locals. Need to get out to islands off Efate, out of Vila for best coral and fish. Take a risk and travel on local buses and fishing boats. Moso island great for scuba and snorkeling
There are many tourist shops and waterfront restaurants and bars in Port Vila. It's safe to walk around after dark, and the local transport ('buses') are cheap and plentiful. The town gets crowded if a cruise ship is in port and some of the day trips can be booked out. There is plenty to do on or nearby the main island of Efate, with lots 1/2 and full day excursions to cater for just about any level of price, comfort or adventure.
Fabulous base for travelling around Efate. Cheap minibuses to get around the island, especially for a large group. About two Aussie dollars per person to get around town in a bus. Swimming beaches in Port Vila and lots of recreational things to do. Try the U Power boats, helicopter trip and definitely do the Ekasup Cultural Village tour. We ate at Jungle Cafe, Au Fare, Reefers-good food, service and the last two have amazing settings.
The people are really friendly and honest. We hired a scooter from 'ON WHEELS' which was perfect for our stay a bit out of town, and to do a loop of the whole island. That way you get to see more things, have more stops and at your own pace as opposed to a tour (the downside being that you don't get a local tourguide's story about the place) although you will meet people along the way. The locals are all really friendly and happy to help out. Amazing waterfalls, lagoons, beaches, landscapes, bars and people to Be discovered. Cascade waterfalls is a must, as is the Blue Lagoon. We stayed a couple of nights at the Sunset Bungalows and the staff are outstanding, as are the complementary breakfasts, and the rooms are super clean, spacious and comfortable with a great water view. Cafe Villa along Pango Rd is a must for dining - excellent food and service and the best coffee I tasted on Efate.
Port Vila town is not as nice, but I like that because is not a touristic place. We rented a car and we have been all around the island. We visited many spots not ranked on google and TripAdvisor. We found the food over ours expectations, but the prices very high! Efate island is anyway a good place for relax!
Port Vila has a bit of everything, but it's not the place you want to stay for your entire holiday. It's a great gateway to start and end your stay in Vanuatu. Go and explore the capital first, then Efate and after that continue to one or the other island. None is like the other, not even remotely. Most fascinating are both the powerful nature and its people, the charming Ni Vanuatu. I wish that their relaxed and humble ways would spread over to our parts of the world...
Port Vila
If you want to experience the beauty of Efate, M Resort is the perfect location. Set on a pristine coral reef, this really is the best of Vanuatu. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the coral, travelling around with James, reclining on the deck and the fabulous local cuisine, that could rival any Melbourne restaurant. David and the team were so accommodating and full of excellent advice. We wish them all the best in the years ahead. It was just sad that we had to go back to the gloom of Victoria.
Port Vila
Great value for money! Staff are lovely. Booked first for five nights and then ended up coming back for a few after expoloring the north side of Efate. All the luxuries you really need for a comfortable stay. Good place to spend atleast a few nights if you are trying to save some money on the accommodation.
Position, staff, air conditioning, food.
Nice view ,niew room ,Sarah was lovely
Beautiful location and kind staff! The bungalows are very cute and I enjoyed the semi out bathroom.
Great location, having the reef out the front of our bungalow was also amazing. Staff were wonderful, view from the restaurant was beautiful. Our bungalow was comfortable and had everything we needed. Internet was also very good!
I liked staying in a smaller lodge / hotel as it was nice and quiet and we hardly heard or saw the other guests. Loved that it was a short walk to the main town center and on the main road so always 'buses' offering lifts too.
Superb food in restaurant. Great staff.
Excellent snorkeling location and boat service is quick and efficient if you need to go back and forth. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The island is very unique and relaxing. The shared bathrooms are ok. Rooms are beautiful with nice amenities. Dinner was excellent. Only 15 mins from the airport. Plenty of buses to/from Mele.
Great breakfast options, super friendly staff
We were in Vanuatu for 4 days, the hotel is a perfect place to stay in Port Vila very close to the city center and the beach, the staff of the hotel is so kind and perfect they help you for everything. The food of the breakfast is delicious and cooked by William so good. I wanted to thank the person again for his kindness :)
Ease of great snorkeling, kayaking and meals. Friendliness of staff. GREAT family place.
Went so well, very well treatment by the resort
The location is beautiful. The constant sound of the waves meant it was easy to sleep. The food was good and the staff friendly. The accommodation was spacious but they did put me in a family unit and my friend in the honeymoon room so don't know about the rest of the accommodation, which is either tents or small huts. The Aussie lady who met us at reception had no idea we were arriving or due to check in, which threw her a bit. Get the impression last-minute bookings are not a thing in Vanuatu as we experienced this a couple of times as we drove round the island.
