Very nicely decorated hotel doe its price, at 10 minutes walking distance from the ancient city.. The lady working there can help with organising tours to the mountain or to the Tiger Leaping gorge.

The location is perfect for ancient town right across the street which is the best ancient town in Lijiang. Lots of restaurants and shops that you want to eat and shop day after day without duplication. Highly recommended. GREAT LOCATION. only 1/2 hour from airport.

Our room on the third floor had a large window with the perfect view of Erhai Lake. We could watch the sunrise and sunset from the balcony and the lounge chairs were perfect for sunbathing for a bit in the afternoon. The hotel location is very convenient for visiting spots like Dali Ancient Town, Cangshan Mountains, and the three pagodas—just a short, inexpensive taxi ride away ( 30 minutes or less to each destination). The room was inviting with a comfortable bed, spacious shower, and very calm and peaceful surroundings. Mr. Young was very attentive, kind, and helpful. He even offered us fresh yogurt with blackberries one afternoon when we were taking a break from exploring around. We also looked forward to the delicious breakfast every morning!

Set a 2-minute walk from Nanmen Bridge, Lijiang Gemmer Hotel provides rooms with air conditioning in Lijiang Old Town Area. I am very lucky to have chosen this hotel and I am very satisfied with everything. The hot water is sufficient, the air conditioning in the room is very good, and the network speed in the room is very fast. There is also airport pick-up service.

Located in the heart of Kunming, Cachet Boutique Kunming Artime features lavish guestrooms with elegant and comfortable interiors. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is very good with restaurants and bars close by. Quite an arty area. Short walk to the centre and Jinbi street, and other lovely parts of the city. Breakfast was very good and drinks in the soft minibar free.

Situated in the heart of Lijiang Ancient Town, 7 to 8 minutes' walk from Dashuiche and Square Street, Jianshe Inn offers simple Japanese-style accommodation. The location of the stay and the room.. clean and tidy.. and spacious

Set in Dali Old Town, Dali Old Courtyard-Style Boutique Hotel is 50 metres from Renmin Road and steps from Dali Catholic Cathedral. Cangshan is 3 km away and Erhai Lake is 5 km away. Authentic place with an extremely friendly staff that attended to our every need and went the extra mile. The facilities are brand new in ancient building, the perfect mix. Wish I will have more chances to come back here.

The hospitality and care for the wellness of their guests go beyond expectations and anything I have ever experienced in a hotel. From the first moment of walking through the doors and being greeted by May and HeiMi (the cat), I felt the warmness of stepping foot into Bivou-instantly, I was at a place that felt like home. Right when we stepped through the threshold, we were offered homemade bread (that I could still taste even now) and some delicious apple tea. The ayis (aunties) helped move our heavy luggage into the beautiful room, and spent time introducing the activities in the hotel, activities we could do around Lijiang, and different hikes that we could go on. Our room was so COMFORTABLE - high ceilings, spacious bathroom with a rain shower, clean and woodsy interior, and firm beds with warming mats. The welcome package included lotion, lip balm, and the most comprehensive maps of Lijiang, as well as a binder filled with activities to do. The activities weren't your typical "tourist" activities but they were incredibly curated, local gems like biking to Baishi village and going to see the Naxi orchestra (Nomi helped booked for us! Thank you!). The owner of Bivou is so fun and helpful - she gave us a map for Tiger Leaping Gorge and even helped us arrange a hotel on the trail! For a lot of my stay in Lijiang, I was sick (some food poisoning), but the ayis, especially May, kept me alive - not even exaggerating. They went out of their way to cook porridge for me, recommended and brewed red tea for my stomach ache, delivered homemade soup and dumplings up to the room, and changed the bed sheets at midnight for us. The Bivou cafe was the ONLY place I trusted to eat at because I wasn't feeling well. The food is so healthy, fresh, homecooked with love, and absolutely healing. Bivou is not your typical boutique hotel, not the Banyan, nor the Four Seasons.
