This hotel was a surprise and we booked it by the ratings on Booking.com. We were treated like gold by the staff and the rooms were fantastic. Even free smores kits for the kids for an evening roast!

Cody itself we loved and will likely be one of the highlights of our whole trip. Dinner at Cassies, Old Trail Town and Cody Firearms Experience all worth a look. We also used Walmart for our picnic lunches to take into Yellowstone. Chief Joseph highway totally awesome drive, just a shame that Bear Tooth was closed for winter whilst we were there. Located 1.7 km from the West Entrance to Yellowstone National Park, 1872 Inn offers upscale, adults-exclusive accommodation in West Yellowstone, Montana. This Inn is a little hidden when driving through the town and we were definitely traveling during non-peak season. The streets were dead! Either way, we got to the Inn and thought we had the whole place to ourselves, because there were no other cars in the parking lot. We walked in and saw a beautiful, modern lobby with a fireplace going. The room was spaciously small, if that makes sense. There's no elevators in this place, so be prepared to carry your luggage around. Breakfast was good too. They had a little bit of everything, but better than a continental breakfast at a normal hotel. I would stay here again.

We’re currently on a 2 month roadtrip and have stayed at a lot of places, we all agreed this was our favourite by far! It’s homely, the quality of furnishings, carpets, mats, bedding are of good quality. It’s clean… and not just at Surface level. Has the essentials such as soap, dishwasher tablets, kitchen towels, all cutlery, extra bin bags, laundry facilities, internet, iron. We wanted a kettle to make tea and got given one from reception. Book this if you’re in the area you won’t regret it, there’s even a spare fold out bed available if needed, we didn’t use it but useful to have. Towels and bins were changed daily.
