I was there for a week, not sure I will go back to that Hotel again. I will be coming back to that location in few months and I'm not sure If I will stay there again. Osawatomie is an interesting little town about an hour outside Kansas City. Good history, especially regarding John Brown and the years right before the Civil War.
As small Kansas towns go, Lawrence is great - with some nice bars and restaurants and some interesting History. I'd particularly recommend the Free State Brewery where both the food and beer are great.
We chose a budget friendly hotel and were received with warm hospitality. The room was adequate with plenty of room for our party. Although we had a full kitchen at our disposal, we wanted to eat like the Kansas locals. Of course our first stop was Joes Kansas City BBQ Expensive, but worth the bite. We will be back. Our second night involved pizza. We were delighted with the generous toppings and delicious Kansas style take on the meal. Getting around in Lenexa is super easy, even with construction detours. We had gone for the weekend to attend the RenFest in Bonner Springs. Lenexa was about 10 miles away and easy travel to and from the festival. Thank you Lenexa, Kansas for treating us like we were old friends.
I enjoyed Manhattan very much. I could easily walk to shops and restaurants. One restaurant I would highly recommend to eat at is call Della Voce excellent staff and marvellous food. I enjoyed visiting Kansas State University.
La Crosse is a small Kansas town that is still a center of commerce for the area. The atmosphere is friendly and there are several things to do and see around town.

I spent a few days in Pittsburg visiting a friend on campus. I was able to do day trips to surrounding cities, while they were in class. Joplin (MO), Kansas City (MO), and Devils Den State Park (AR), are a few of the cities that I got to visit. If you're looking for great places to dine at I would recommend to drive over to Kansas City, as they have a number of great restaurants catering different cuisines. In addition, to Pittsburg being known as a party school, if you're looking for a relaxed time, tickets to the Cinema in the local mall cost less than $4. Oriental Star is a place that caters Asian food, and you can also find an Applebees right next to Walmart as well.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel was very clean. This bad review is for booking.com. They lie and say that a hotel has smoking rooms when it's not even legal in Kansas for a hotel to have smoking rooms. And that's it's a casino. They also said it was gonna be a $117 with tax included. And they charge us a $143. Very disciple and it's not on the hotel.It's on booking.com.They do this to everybody
This property is in an excellent location. There is a lot to in the surrounding area. One of Kansas City’s most beloved BBQ restaurants called Jack Stack’s is basically attached to the Hotel. Anyone traveling alone would feel 100% safe in this establishment, and would be able to move freely in the neighborhood without any concerns. If you’re in town to attend a Chiefs game though, it’s about a thirty minute drive from the hotel.
Hotel located in “wrong” downtown (Kansas City and not Missouri) so you might need to pick your car if you want to enjoy a bit the city. So if you filter out hotels by that, pay attention. It's not where you might want to be. Apart from that, room but clean and well equipped. All was proper and fine, no special comment. Standard breakfast offered and free private parking available on site.
Perfect place to stop when traveling through Kansas. Hotel is right off the highway. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was outstanding - clean with great amenities. Full kitchen with pans, utensils, etc. a bonus. Bed was very comfortable, towels were nice and soft. Good breakfast with hot options (eggs, sausage, waffles) and cereal, bagels, muffins, etc. Highly recommend.
I love the location of The Oread! Walking distance to KU campus which is a bonus since we were visiting for Freshman Orientation. The view from our room was overlooking the David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium and the Campanile! Bonus, just steps outside our hotel door, was the 5th floor terrace with 360 degree panoramic views of the KU campus and downtown Lawrence!
If you are driving in to Kansas City this hotel is a great deal. It was the first hotel we saw when we got into the KC surrounding area so decided to stop. It’s only a 30 min drive to Arrowhead, there’s a lot of places to shop and eat around here and you stay away from the big city traffic. Parking is free. The breakfast here was also very good
We wanted to explore Kansas/Missouri so I purposefully wanted a hotel outside of city limits just to explore. Clean facilities for the most part. We had a very roomy room (stayed in a handicap room for my hard of hearing father) and it was pretty comfortable for our party of 3.
Hotel is exceptionally clean, breakfast was great (always tip your breakfast hostess they work hard) Room was comfortable and well stocked. Quite a surprise for Goodland, Kansas. Best hotel we stayed out for 1700 mile road trip.

The location of this hotel is right off the highway. About 18 minutes from downtown Kansas City. There's not a lot of dining options within walking distance but the lobby was tidy and from afar it looked like a nice hotel.
The proximity of the hotel to the expressway and to Kansas City was great. The breakfast was fine. The coffee was hot, scrambled eggs were good, and the pancakes were good. It was nice being able to get an orange, too.

Ive stayed here before. This is the best hotel in Manhattan Kansas. It appears recently they updated the rooms and have new mattresses which were very comfortable. Highly recommended.

The property is right across the street from Kansas speedway. But other than that I would run! This place is filthy. Mildew,mold, a horrendous smell.
