Seabreeze @ Koh Mak

Hotel in Ko Mak

Seabreeze @ Koh Mak has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and bar in Ko Mak. The 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy garden views. Pepe and his staff are wonderful hosts! We stayed in a very decent room size which had a super comfortable bed and stunning view. It’s worth waking up early to see the sunrise from the hotel pier - just take a few steps down. Yummy breakfast, great pool, and good location. Koh Mak is a small island and you can easily get to different restaurants and beaches from Seabreeze Resort.

Sabai Beach Resort

Hotel in Ko Mak

Facing the beachfront, Sabai Beach Resort offers 3-star accommodations in Ko Mak and features a garden, private beach area and terrace. Perfect location, close to a beautiful beach and within walking distance of most activities on the island – bars, restaurants, etc. The receptionist was very helpful, arranging a taxi to and from the pier as well as a motorbike rental for us. The room was spacious, well-equipped, and quiet at night. A great place to stay – highly recommended.

Hidden Beach Resort

Ko Mak

Located in Ko Mak, 1.2 miles from Ao Soun Yai Beach, Hidden Beach Resort provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a terrace. What an amazing place! From the moment we arrived, we felt super welcome on the property. Jake was super nice the whole time, helped us with everything and all the tips we needed. The hotel is just beautifully put in an amazing beach, no one else around. You can also kayak to nearby beaches. Although there was no restaurant at the time, we were able to order dinner and breakfast (pineapple pancakes were delicious), and it was great! The bungalows were big, spacious, super clean and had a great balcony. This place is beautiful, really friendly, love the atmosphere, and although we only stayed one night, it was totally worth it!

Little Moon Villa

Ko Mak

Located within 1.5 miles of Ao Soun Yai Beach and 1.1 miles of Police Station, Little Moon Villa provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Ko Mak. That might just be the best hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. It's a family owned and operated resort with just 11 villas. It was completely rebuilt a few years ago and as far as I understand that's why the rating is not solid 10. There are still old reviews, but new facilities deserve nothing except a full 10. Villas are huge, like really huge and so very well designed. View is amazing and since they're located on the hill the row in front doesn't block the view and no one can see you in your room. Air conditioner is quiet and is perfectly clean without any bad smell. Water is hot and pressure is very good. They rake the beach non stop from morning to night so there's absolutely zero sandflies. We were spending most of the time at the resort's beach because it's also quite beautiful with the view on other islands and they built bamboo structures to provide shadow at any time of the day if you get tired of the sun. You can also take free paddle boards and kayaks at the hotel and they rent out scooters for the usual price. But one of the best parts is the restaurant. I don't think there's any other place on the whole island which can compare in terms of flavors and freshness of seafood. Every single dish we tried was simply perfect. Most of the staff speaks English and they really know how to run the place, we never had to wait for anything and none of the requests were ever forgotten or messed up.

Seavana Koh Mak Beach Resort

Ko Mak

Boasting a private beach along Suanyai Bay, Seavana Koh Mak Beach Resort features an outdoor pool, soothing massage treatments, and beach facilities services. I cried when I left Seavana and left Koh Mak, that’s all you need to know. Never have I ever been to a place this serene, this beautiful and just calming to the soul. I actually have no words to describe this place. I am so grateful that I was able to visit Seavana and I am already dreaming of the day I will come back. I also want to make a special mention to the front office staff which are so accommodating and helpful, and the restaurant staff. Thank you all! I will never forget this place.

Koh Mak White Sand Beach

Ko Mak

Nestled along the pristine stretch of Ao Kao Beach, Koh Mak White Sand Beach offers comfortable modern tropical bungalows with free WiFi. This is one review I kind of don’t want to write as we want to keep this gem to ourselves. The place is utterly fantastic. From the location right by a marvelous beach, to the bungalows with their own rooftop terrace, to the wonderful staff who simply could not have been more helpful, I simply can’t find anything negative to say. Bravo.

Baan TaLay Hostel and Bar

Ko Mak

Located in Ko Mak and with Ao Soun Yai Beach reachable within a 11-minute walk, Baan TaLay Hostel and Bar has a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. This hostel is exactly as described. The hostel is located along the main walking street so close to shops, restaurants, bike rental etc . It is clean, comfortable and the staff are very kind. The included breakfast is freshly cooked when you are ready in the morning and was one of the best that we had in 3 months of travelling in south east Asia. My husband wasn’t well whilst we stayed and one kind member of staff gave him fruit and a special drink to help him feel better. The genuine kindness was much appreciated. We would recommend this place as an ideal base to explore the island on a budget.
