The staff went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. This place, gives you that very special feeling when travelling, that only a few place do, that "home" feeling. Please go and stay at Andalay Beach Resort, you will not regret it!

Tutte le sistemazioni sono dotate di aria condizionata e TV a schermo piatto. I stayed here 2 nights. My private room was inexpensive, had A/C and the room and bed were big and comfortable. The woman (Mama) who runs the place is very generous, thoughtful and kind. She only speaks Thai and I only speak English but we had no problems communicating. Her son also came by (he speaks both languages); They are a delightful family..quiet, friendly, respectful. This homestay location is out of the way, so you need to rent motorbike or taxi to get around (though I chose to walk).

The location is perfect - I thought it would be far, but it's close to other hotels on the island and just far enough to have a great beach. The beach is perfect. Go for those better villas if you can, they're closer to the beach and more remote from each other, although all of them are technically beach front. When we moved in, we paid some more and immediately switched. They have a better seating area (like a balcony), thanks to that our stay was perfect. The restaurant has good food. If you're on a bike, it's very easy to explore the island (there's not much to explore there, though, and the hotel seems to be at the best place). Otherwise, it's a 5-10 minute walk to the street where you can hop on a three-wheeler, or go to an incredibly cheap and good local restaurant (just 100m to the right once you're on the main street).
