Before booking SilQ, I actually visited the hotel to check out a couple of rooms I was interested in. I ended up choosing the Premier Studio because I really liked the layout. After staying at the neighboring Staybridge Suites for over a month, we had a ton of luggage to move, and I’m super grateful to the SilQ staff for helping us with the move, even though it was a really busy time for them. The check-in process was a bit slow, and the elevators could get crowded and take a while during peak hours. There were also a few small issues with the elevators here and there, but the staff was always quick to fix them. During my stay, I really felt the warmth and friendliness of the team—whether it was the front desk, housekeeping, or the concierge. They genuinely cared about guest feedback, which I really appreciated. The hotel’s ionic onsen is amazing, though you need to book it in advance. The room is super comfortable, with strong water pressure in the shower and a bathroom design that separates wet and dry areas—both of which I loved. Most of the guests here are tourists, whereas the Staybridge Suites and Marriott Apartments next door seem to have more expats working in Bangkok. The hotel also has a tuk-tuk shuttle that runs every hour. While it’s not super frequent, it’s almost never full, and the staff operating it are incredibly nice. After trying out and comparing a few options, I’ve decided to stay at SilQ again. A big thank-you to the team for the thoughtful birthday cake and the welcome fruits when I arrived—it was such a nice touch. I really appreciate the care and attention to detail from the staff at SilQ. Looking forward to my next stay!

Amazing staff specially at the huge breakfast room. But then again, everything is huge in this 2 tower Hotel. But even by beeing so big, you do not have the feeling you are in an unpersonal Tourist Factory as staff is really well trained, friendly and sweet. Fitness is also one of the best I had in Bangkok.

Clean comfortable rooms with big plush pillows and comfortable beds.

This 4-star hotel was a pleasant surprise! The room was modern, clean, and packed with advanced technology, making our stay exceptionally comfortable. The staff were incredibly kind and always ready to help with anything we needed. While the location is a bit far from most attractions and lacks nearby public transportation, it’s perfect if you have a rental car or don’t mind using taxis or Grab rides. We also requested a high-floor room in our booking, and they accommodated us, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, a fantastic stay and highly recommended!

Situated in Bangkok, 1.2 km from Amarin Plaza, Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok, an IHG Hotel features accommodation with free bikes, private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre. The daily buffet breakfast option/s is definitely on top of my list. 😊 We tried having dinner at the Stock Room too and their ala carte options tasted really good, especially the pad thai. In-room dining options were also yummy. Another thing I liked is the ambience of the hotel, especially the lobby. It’s location is also superb, just a few minutes from the malls. You can take a cab or you can walk if you’re fond of walking. The area is clean, with lots of trees in the vicinity and doesn’t get crowded. The staff were all helpful and courteous. Our room was huge and the bed was comfortable. They cleaned the room everyday. We also loved the pool area, it was shaded which is the best set up when you want to avoid the sun. 😉 There’s a portion in it too where you can get a tan or you can opt to use the sun loungers. Best part is that it wasn’t crowded. My son and I enjoyed our pool time. We are missing Kimpton already and would definitely stay there again when we go to Bangkok.
