The food was delicious and there was a wide choice. The room was bright and spacious, Loccitane products were prepared in the bathroom. The spa was well equipped. The Christmas decorations were particularly nice. The hotel paid attention to every little detail in terms of design.

Accommodation Grand hotel Starý Smokovec is located in Starý Smokovec, 18 km from Štrbské pleso. Guests have access to a common room, paid hotel parking, a terrace and a bar. Everything. The spa was world class! Perfect for relaxing after long days of hiking in the mountains. The staff was very courteous.

Þetta einstaka hótel hefur verið endurgert á óaðfinnanlegan hátt. Það er til húsa í sögulegri arfleifð og er staðsett í fallegu landslagi með stórkostlegu Tatra-fjallabakgrunninum. This building and the family owning it is deeply integrated into the history of the surrounding towns and the Tatras. The building has been beautifully renovated recently, and they managed to perfectly keep the old style while providing all the modern conveniences. From the moment you arrive and the owner greets you, you feel like you are visiting with friends instead of staying in a hotel. They always have a few kind words for you and go out of their way to help you. We did have a special request beforehand, which was perfectly organized. They can also give you great advice for your time in the Tatras. The breakfast is a full continental selection, and according to the owners, they just started doing dinners. This is usually a buffet of 2 soups and 2-3 main courses, but created by a talented chef, expertly bringing traditional Slovakian flavours into modern cuisine. We are a family of foodies, so we actively seek out different restaurants to try the local food, but this time we were more than happy to have dinners in the hotel. The wellness needs to be booked a little bit in advance at the reception. But then you get a whole part of the building just for yourselves, with a sauna and a jacuzzi bath, and best of all, a spacious room with a fireplace and a bar where you can relax. Even though we are not wellness fanatics, we all found it lovely and definitely worth to try. It's obvious from my superlatives that it was one of the very best hotel stays in my life. It's almost on the level of the Japanese ryokans that I have experienced. This is not a luxury place, but a quality place, if you can appreciate the difference. Also, it's a quiet place, so you probably shouldn't go there if you want to party. On the other hand, if you want to relax and enjoy the surroundings, you won't be disappointed.

Hotel Hubert Vital Resort er staðsett í Gerlachov og býður upp á veitingastað, heilsulind og aðstöðu til að fara á hestbak. I did like a food, ,area, animals everything was nice and clean and also pets friendly 🙂

Located at the foot of the High Tatras in the town of Stary Smokovec, Grand Hotel BELLEVUE offers an indoor pool, a spa area 2 restaurants and a night club. Food was excellent! Very traditional flavours. The staff was very kind and always willing to help and make you feel special. I loved the Spa and pool area. Very relaxing! Have the best time and will be back.

Vila Horec - depandance hotela Hubert Vital Resort er staðsett í Gerlachov, 16 km frá Strbske Pleso-vatni og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, verönd og veitingastað. Was nice that we got not villa Horec, but hotel Hubert. Everything was in the same building. With child (3years) was very comfortable. Also we liked children activities, play room, animators (even if we do not speak slovakian) was very interesting and fun! , cinema with different movies every evening. Also we liked surrounding, horses, sheeps, birds and so on, like mini zoo - daughter really loved the place, so do I , and husband , too! Thank you!
