Hotel Patria in Strbske Pleso houses a restaurant with Slovakian cuisine, a billiards room and spa area accessible free of charge including a gym, a sauna and an indoor pool. Mostly everything. We knew this hotel from 40 years ago when my grandparents stayed there. It was a fancy hotel back then and although it aged, they managed to revamp it in a way that it is a very good value for money. The wellness section has so much variety we could spend the whole day there. Room is spacious and comfortable. Other facilities like kids club and bowling are great addition for families with kids. Location is fantastic, all the main hiking routes pass by the hotel, we didn't even take the car out most days.

Boasting a prime location at an alpine lake 1,351 meters above sea level in the spectacular High Tatras, the Grand Hotel Kempinski is an exclusive resort for discerning guests. Great for families (we had 4 kids with us). Amazing location, awesome service, great pool and spa. They upgraded one of our rooms and ensured they were connected (without requesting). The staff, front desk, bellman - were all fantastic!!!

This elegant first-class hotel in Stará Lesná combines a high level of comfort with a beautiful location in the mountains of the High Tatras. We really loved our stay at Hotel Hills. The wellness area (especially the outdoor hot tub) was magnificent, especially after a long hike in the mountains. Both dinner and breakfast were great. The room was new and clean, the bed was super comfortable. I have nothing bad to say - one of my favourite hotels ever. Will hopefully be visiting again!
