Featuring an open-air bath and views of pool, Penzión pod hradom Gelnica is a guest house situated in a historic building in Gelnica, 17 km from Kojsovska Hola. Close to the train station and bus stop, hiking paths nearby. We had everything for our short stay. The kitchen for use, also the kettle in the room.

With mountain views, Penzión Turzov is set in Gelnica and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, bar, garden and terrace. This was my second stay at Penzion Turzov in the last year and both trips were fantastic. You cannot find a cozier place in more beautiful surroundings. It offers compete tranquility without being totally isolated. The small lake behind the property is a wonderful local picnic and swimming spot. You can have it all to yourself with your morning coffee. More importantly, Karolina and Katalina went above and beyond to help me find and communicate with some local family connections and I was very appreciative of their support and enthusiasm :)

The wellness centre was great, Finnish, steam and infrared sauna, whirlpool, swimming pool and a cold water tub, which we had all to ourselves for a couple of hours. The quiet rooms, with comfortable beds, decent enough sized bathroom, great restaurant downstairs, with a wide range of dishes including Slovak specialties, beer and wine. Breakfast had a reasonable selection and there was plenty of that.
