The food was wonderful and there was way more than we could all eat. My grandparents owned the castle and it was in the family until the recent sale and renovation. It was amazing to be in the castle and the small village of Vinica. I would love to return some day.

We found this place through the booking.com website and absolutely were charmed by the kind reception. We felt very welcome, got a free welcome drink and everything with a smile. Breakfast was cosy and freshly made. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Opened in 2016, Hotel Dolenjc features a restaurant and offers air-conditioned accommodation in Novo Mesto. The staff here is absolutely amazing. They were all so kind and polite, and also very happy to help us in every possible way. Also, the food was very tasteful, and the location is very quiet. I would absolutely recommend it!
