I can't recommend Araucaria Residence highly enough. Beautiful lakeside location within easy walking distance of the public beach and restaurants. The rooms and gardens are immaculately kept. The staff are attentive, friendly, and extremely helpful. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, as was both dinners I had at the hotel. If I were visit Gisenyi again I wouldn't hesitate to return to Araucaria Residence.

The interior of the restaurant and the room was great, we had a bonfire in the restaurant, the food was delicious, staff was very helpful and attentive. The room had a a nice secluded view over the lake and a small peaceful garden. There was a lot of attention to detail in everything.
