Position is nice for a tour of Monasteries and the other attractions of the region. P.S. I really suggest having dinner at their restaurant, which has quality food for a reasonable price. If I'd come back to Bucovina, this would be my first choice.

Very interesting city with wonderful architecture. Buildings represent all periods until 1941. The city escaped damage from the war. There are very good restaurants throughout the city, and Bukovina food is exceptionally good. Must see the center and theatre squares. The museum of Bukovina jewish History on the Theatre square, the Art museum on the central square. Walk up the main street with its cafes and restaurants. A visit tto tthe Jewish cemetery is worthwhile. It is a small city so that it is easy to walk around, taxi's are plentiful and very cheap. R estaurants: Knaus and Allurin cafe.

Our 2 nights stay in casa de poveste was a wonderful feeling to live in traditional wooden houses with great amenities. I have been a regular visitor on an almost annual basis and stayed at Complex Turistic Bucovina / Popas since the early 1990's. I have seen the hotel develop into the beautiful complex it is today. The setting is beautiful, peaceful, relaxing with very good food and service. I cannot fault this. I am saddened to hear the previous proprietor has more recently passed away as under her directions she helped develop the hotel into what it is today. Over the years I have regularly recommended my friends and family from the UK and other countries stay at Popas. They have always come away very happy with the service, accommodation and beautiful setting.
