We had four amazing days in Xhale, that helped a lot the experience in Terceira. The hotel is super nice if you’re looking for a relaxing experience with privacy, as it is located on a beautiful hill outside of major towns. We got the Mountain view room and it was very comfortable. The hotel also has a nice pool with view to the sea, and very modern gym and spa facilities, as well as a very good yoga room. But the best part of the hotel is definitely the Grata Cafe, where breakfast is provided - the view over the sea is just astonishing and there was no better place to start the day. A final word to the owners and the staff, who were always extremely nice and genuinely interested in providing us a good stay. We would definitely stay again in Xhale if we were to come back to Terceira.

I spent 20 days in the Azores. but the best came at the end. I was allowed to spend 3 nights at Quinta do Espirito Santa with Lucilia and Francisco Maduro slides. I was allowed to spend my stay in a beautiful outbuilding of the Quinta. The house and the rooms in it are lovingly furnished. You are transported to another distant time. But the two hosts are definitely the highlight. I have never experienced such warm hosts. A hearty breakfast with many local specialties was served in the main building. The two gentlemen had a lot to tell and gave me an old insight into life on the Azorn and Terceira. We especially liked the conversations with Francisco. I was able to take away and learn a lot from his knowledge as a history professor. I highly recommend Quinta do Espirito Santo as a place to stay. The hosts receive 1000 points from me. The location is next to the ocean, amazing pool, Jacuzzi and Sauna. The house is equipped with everything you need. The host is super helpful and kind. The whole space is super clean.

Gilberto and staff are the nicest people. The place is has historical museum aspect, but it’s also just fun tranquil Quinta. It invites you to be outside, take a walk and escape. Also the dinner felt like home, so good!

Beautiful location, close drive to all sites on the island. Loved the breakfast ( yorgurt, cheese, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, juice, coffee put in frig every day) and of course the fresh bread. Extremely clean and the views of the sea are gorgeous. Would highly recommend!
