This design hotel overlooks the Bay of Porto da Barra and is situated on Graciosa Island, a 5-minute walk from Porto Da Barra Beach. There is an outdoor pool surrounded by gardens. The staff at the Inatel were very professional. Offering suggestions on where to eat and how to best get around. As we did not speak Portuguese, everyone spoke English and assisted us with the many questions we had. We were told of a taxi who would take us on a tour, as we wanted to experience and see the island of Graciosa. What spectacular views and the driver Sonia was so knowledgeable about the many sights and sounds we heard. Our room was spotless, and although there were four of us, they enough linens and pillows for us to sleep on. The Breakfast was more than adequate, in fact it was our favourite. The variety of fruits, cereals, juices and not to mention the coffee. Wow! we had so much to choose from. The cheese and bread was exactly how it was previously described to us. I must also mention that the two waitresses performed their duties with pride and most important a smile. As we had travelled from Bermuda, they like others were curious as to which country we came from. How pleasant the ladies were and very kind. I will admit, that our children enjoyed the pool, and us as adults, loved the views, animals and the broad walk. Inatel management had taken great lengths to see that our stay was enjoyable and without incident. Thank you ! and well done Inatel, I will be recommending this hotel to our family and friends. The suites modern amenities made us feel right at home. We also loved that the suite had some heritage elements from the past such as the lava rock walls.

The view at the front of the house is absolutely spectacular! We could see all 4 of the other islands within the central group of the Azores, amazing! With Sao Jorge and Faial in the foreground, Pico behind it with its volcano Pico that we could see and all the way to the left we could also see Terceira. No house in front of us, just green lush terrain. The house seems to have been recently renovated and the interior is really beautiful and tastefully done. It is a spacious house, with separate kitchen and separate dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped and we were able to prepare our meals there for several days. The bed is situated in the beautiful spacious living room and is very comfortable, we slept great! The small coffee corner in the front room of the diningroom is a beautiful lookout post in any weather, but especially on a rainy day. In the large living room there is also a corner set up for yoga or gymnastics exercises, very nice! At the back of the house we saw also a BBQ, which we didn't use, but is a nice extra.
