There really aren’t enough superlatives to describe our stay at Hotel Raiatea Lodge. Everyone on staff is delightful and goes out of their way to accommodate any requests. We stayed in room #8 in the main lodge. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and an incredible view from our balcony. The sunsets are spectacular every day. The food is outstanding and beautifully presented. We are vegetarian which the chef accommodated with delicious dishes every evening. The desserts are fantastic and the breakfast buffet is plentiful with freshly baked goods, delicious home made yogurts, cheeses, cold buts, fruit etc. The hotel offers a number of fabulous excursions through local operators which we took advantage of. They include being picked up and dropped off at the hotel which makes it all very convenient. The operators are paid directly in cash and there are several ATM’s in town so that wasn’t a problem. There is also great snorkeling right in front of the hotel. Kayaks are available to go to the Motu (15-20min.) which was a lot of fun. Car rental is also available right on site and charged directly to your room. Cars have a manual transmission and all in great shape. We rented one to drive around the island which was fun. Overall our stay at Hotel Raiatea Lodge exceeded our expectations and we will definitely return.

Located on a private white sand beach, Hôtel Atiapiti offers bungalows and a villa with free Wi-Fi and private patio with ocean or garden views. Each has mosquito nets and a living room with a TV. Tena korua Marie raua ko Ronnie Everything Marie is exceptional she keeps the place running smoothly and clean and tidy. Staff are so friendly and helpful, the cooked meals are huge enough for two meals. Swimming and location beautiful, accomodation spectacular views and Marie so insightful placed me at end bungalow. Ronnie organized the tours who picked me up at pontoon literally around the corner. The most memorable was taputapuatea Marae highlight and Faaroa river ride Havana tours uplifting nga taonga tuku iho o nga tupuna. Also Ta'aha tour Vanilla, Pearl and Rum farm and bonus snorkeling coral reef mama also whipped up a kete and potae for us to take home from coconut leaves. We ate at home every night so the kitchen is well equipped. The owner Johnny is very contactable, offers great local advice, does tours of the island (which we did and enjoyed) and he’s just a really nice guy. Would deffo stay here again.

This peaceful retreat boasts a large outdoor swimming pool with stunning sea views. Villa U'upa is situated just 10 minutes' from the heart of Uturoa and the ferry terminal. Guests enjoy free WiFi. My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights and were very happy about our stay! Great size of the room, pool right infront of our room and a great view of the ocean. Breakfast was great! And Christine helped of with everything!!!! We were a little last minute and couldn’t rent either a scooter or car on the Island because of a local holiday, but Christine helped us and got us on a great boattrip to Tahaa. Thank you for a great stay 😊

Just 80 metres from the Lagoon access to Sea view, La maison Du Voyage offers a relaxed tropical haven with free snorkelling equipment. Breakfast was amazing. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming.
