Breakfast, food and cocktails were delicious and staff members were very nice and delivered a great service. The manager was very helpful, polite and friendly. They gave us some recommendations for places to go and they called us a taxi when we needed. Very caring!! We will definitely go back in our next visit to Mancora.

We loved the town square, with its little park in the center of town, surrounded by the Cathedral, which is worth a visit, and the restaurants which are great for meals or for coffee. There is a great museum of cultural artifacts from the ancient Vicus civilization of this area and it is worth a visit. If you want to get out among the people and out of your tourist 'comfort zone', Piura is a good place. People are friendly, a little bit reserved, but there is a welcome that awaits you. As with all world cities, ask at the hotel what areas are good etc, and don't go out alone. We mistakenly thought that Piura was near the coast, but the nearest beach was an hour away. Photographs we had seen indicated that the beaches were closer. However, the hotel offered to set us up with transportation.
Small town improving services with time. Good restaurants. Splendid relaxing time away from noisy locations. Easy to get there by flights to Talara (45 min) or Piura (2.5 hrs) or by road.
We only stayed in Piura for a couple of days, but the time that we spent there we really enjoyed the down town area. The main plaza is very nice and there are many great restaurants near by, and we felt very safe walking around at night.

We did not really do anything while we in Piura other than stay at the hotel and go to Plaza Vea for supplies. We were just stopping on our way to and from the north of Peru. The hotel was very nice and comfortable but the city is very hectic to drive in.
Piura is a potholed, dusty, dirty dump. If you can avoid it, do so. Third world all the way.
Piura is a great city to visit its historical center and to go to all the most beautiful Peruvian beaches. It is a marvelous place to eat a lot and to eat delicious food. I would recommend everyone who come to Peru to visit this perfect region.
We where in Piura just to skip daily life from my natal Loja-Ecuador. Piura has a warm weather all year round and very good hotels are available at good prices. Peruvian food is great if you choose to go to eat at well known good restaurants which sometimes you found them inside hotels. Don't forget to try "Ceviche de Mero, Seco de Chavelo, Sudado de Mariscos and Tamales Verdes" they are great. Meet the locals every Sunday night at Plaza de Armas where you will find lots of people who gather in this one place and enjoy popular music played by municipal orchestras. Piura is a safe city if you do walk around the Cathedral and Grau Circle.
I can't imagine a better place to stay in Piura. I truly can't say enough about the staff and how friendly and accommodating they are, it was a huge help for me during a very long trip. Very clean facilities all around. The rooftop bar is terrific, the menu and food are great, as well as the cocktails. Mini split in every room, which you really need when it only gets down to 80 as a low at night. I cannot recommend Rua Hotel anymore highly! Thank you so much!
It was clean and friedly. They had had some problems with flooding (like the whole of Piura) so there was mould in the room. This may be resolved by the time you stay there.. but i stayed just 2 weeks after major flooding in the whole town. to be fair to them i expect many hotels were effected and would have the same problem. the shower was hot, bed comfy, security good, air con working etc, so no other complaint.
I like that I was able to get directions from the receptionist on the best way to get to the Club Atletico Grau home futbol match since I realized the day before arriving in Piura their home stadium is 1 hour away. Also was able to get information on a pickup laundry service that I utilized from another receptionist at the hotel.
Location, cleanliness and extremely pleasant and friendly employees. They all went out of their way to makes us feel good. This was my second stay in this particular hotel and now like before exceded my expectation. I will recommended it to anyone planning to stay in Piura. Thumps up!!!!!!

This place is a bit hit and miss. Location is super central and close to anything you need. The rooms are spacious, have nice beds, etc. Air conditioning does work but has no obvious temperature indication, you just have to try the 'colder' or 'warmer' button to find a decent temperature. Shower is warm but at pretty low pressure (at least on the top floor). Staff are very friendly, including the people serving breakfast at the attached cafe at the bottom floor. Included breakfast had everything i wanted including very nice coffee.

The setting of the rooms around the pool with the coconut trees and palms is beautiful. The pool is clean and refreshing in the heat and you can have drinks and snacks beside the pool. We are digital nomads and the wifi was excellent for our needs, including uploading video. The rooms are spacious with quality linens, comfortable beds and pillows. The amenities provided are very good. The breakfast has a good range of food. It was all fresh. The hotel staff are lovely, always professional and happy.
the service was excellent very kind crew, everything was clean and we felt safe, the food was good, and the pool and the view were great. the room was perfect, and the shared restrooms were excellent. I love the activities that the hotel organizes every day, it makes a great and fun experience for the guests. In addition, the dogs and cats were so cute and I saw that the crew took care of the plants.
Everything was perfect. This very stylish hotel is located on a beautiful stretch of beach. The room with a sea view was dreamy. Big comfortable bed and nice bathroom with outdoor shower. The food & drinks were amazing and staff excellent. They accommodated my gluten allergy very well. We enjoyed walking on the beach, swimming in the sea ( experience required as there is a bit of a current) and relaxing poolside. We saw many humpback whales passing right in-front of the hotel We did the yoga class which was also very good. We only wished we could stayed longer!
