Hardly anyone at the reception except on payment day. Room was never cleaned or bed done, or rubbiush baskets emptied during my whole stay.

The owner is particularly friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable apartment. The kitchen facilities were great. We've stayed in Masirah many times and the Al Jood is definitely the best hotel apartments in Masarah. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Masirah island has a lot to offer to a nature lover. Need about 2 days and a 4WD vehicle to get to many locations. Better to have someone who knows where things are since there is very poor tourist information available.
Try atleast a 2 night stay at Masirah Island specially if you are coming from Muscat as its 5 to 6 hours journey to Shannah port alone and one hour further ferry ride to the island which makes it very exhaustive if you are returning next day. The key for enjoyful experience lies in the hotel or resort you select for stay as the beach is not very much different from other beaches of Oman. Masirah Island Resort is definitely the best choice. Also try local foods and fish as it will be a treat for your taste buds. Early morning sun rise and evening sunsets are the best time to take a stroll on beaches. Turtles can be found in specific season and timings and will be a treat to watch if you can witness same. Take guidance from hotel about places and timings where they can be found.

It's a retro hotel in a secluded spot of Masirah island. It has a pool which is rare on Masirah, but the ocean is quite polluted on this shore, and you won't be able to dip your feet there. The staff at the restaurant is extremely nice and welcoming, but the reception staff is less approachable. We stayed there for a few days, and it's a lovely get away with a luxury of true silence. But I'd say it's quite pricey for the value.

The hotel location is excellent, on the shore and have an awesome place to sit outside. This outdoor sitting area is perhaps the best one in Masirah Island.
