Set in Half-moon Bay in the Southland region and Butterfield Beach reachable within 1.1 km, Butterfield Beach Studio Car petrol and breakfast provisions included offers accommodation with free WiFi,... A lovely, spacious house across from a beach. Lots of nice amenities and touches. Very home-like. Beds were comfortable, good WiFi, nice kitchen and a great view. Having the car was perfect. The forest parrots, kaka, entertained us on the deck with their antics.

With sea views, Church Hill Boutique Lodge & Restaurant is located in Half-moon Bay and has a restaurant, free shuttle service, bar, garden and terrace. Chris and Deanne are a great team. We enjoyed our conversations with them and their hospitality. We both liked the option to pick your breakfast time and select what you wanted from the menu. We stayed three nights and ate dinner there each night and were never disappointed, great selections too. Chris was more than willing to provide a lift somewhere when needed. We highly recommend a stay at Church Hill.

Overlooking Halfmoon Bay and the islands of the Foveaux Straits, Kowhai Lane Lodge is just 5 minutes’ walk from the waterfront. A 4-hour Ulva Island tour is included in your accommodation rate. We loved our stay on Stewart Island, staying at Kowhai Lane with Peter and Iris. The accommodation was fantastic in every way and the Information supplied by our hosts was comprehensive, their knowledge of the island and it's history was shared with great enthusiasm. Our visit to Ulva Island with Peter as our guide was a highlight of our stay. Great friendly hosts!

With panoramic views of the Tasman Sea, The Bay Motel overlooks Halfmoon Bay on Stewart Island. It features a nearby golf course, a free shuttle service and free private parking on site. Spacious comfortable and clean rooms, the property is in a great location surrounded by nature but very close to the town. The hosts were so friendly helpful and attentive made our stay much better just with their great service.

Stewart Island's iconic South Sea Hotel is located on the foreshore, in the centre of town. It is 2 minutes’ walk from the ferry and airline terminals. The property is just across the street from the beach in Oban. It has a bar and cafe on premise which I enjoyed.

Just 400 metres from Halfmoon Bay, Sails Ashore Lodge offers rooms with a private balcony overlooking the bay and gardens.
