Such a great place from which to explore Great Barrier Island. We were here 3 nights, excellent reception and welcome drink from Pete and a tour of the facilities. Cabin was perfect for our needs, with simple but effective cooking facilities, WiFi (which we didn’t expect), clean and tidy property but in surroundings that have to be seen. The plot has been manicured to a tee with a super layout and magnificent bay views. Walking distance to the Irish pub and store. If you are self drive then make sure it’s an all-terrain vehicle as the drive is steep!! Couldn’t ask for more.

The accommodation is very well located. From the balcony, we have a breathtaking view of nature and the surrounding area. We went to see the sunrise, which was very convenient as the accommodation is less than 5 minutes from the beach. The house is spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. You quickly feel at home. The garden is beautiful and it's great fun to have breakfast in the sun on the balcony overlooking the sea.

Boasting accommodation with a patio, Awesome View Cottage is situated in Great Barrier Island. With garden views, this accommodation features a balcony. Great house with a fantastic view. Lots of lovely birds around. The host made us feel very welcome. The kitchen was very well equipped. Good and comfortable beds. Even though we were off-grid we missed nothing. The Wi-Fi worked well but sometimes a bit slow.

The lodge was a perfect setting for our stay, we fortunately had pretty awesome weather so could make good use of the lovely outdoor decks. Our apartment was clean and well set up. Fiona, our host, was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The lodge itself is just a short walk from Tryphena Bay, with an easy visit to the pub, cafe and local store.
