Lovely breakfast and friendly, helpful owner with lots of great tips for restaurants and tourist attractions. Close by the national park walks and cave tour also good. Highly recommend.

Located in Marahau, Buena Vista Apartment provides accommodation with sea or garden views. It is located a 15-minute walk from the beach and is 1.8 km Abel Tasman National Park. I arrived late, and the host, Christa had emailed me earlier to let me know to come by the office after-hours where a note for me was left and the keys were provided in a convenient location. Christa had stopped by my accommodation earlier to greet me, but since I arrived late, I missed her. The next day, she came by at an appropriate time to introduce herself and to make sure my stay was going well, and if I needed anything. Though I tried, I was not able to make a booking the night before for a water taxi online, so Christa arranged it quickly via phone, and suggested that the water taxi company pick me up directly from the apartments that morning. Christa and her husband Hermann are incredible hosts and caring people. They made me feel very welcome. I stayed in the Tango apartment, which is a one-bedroom plus sofa bed in the living area with a kitchenette. The apartment has a lovely view and is very private. The walk up to the apartment is magical, with fairy lights across a short walking bridge and up a path. There is a washing machine/dryer near the office that can be used by guests, which is convenient for longer stays. I highly recommend the Buena Vista Apartment. I will be back for certain!!!!

Very nice hotel in the beautiful Abel Tasman Nature Preserve area, away from noise and traffic. The view from the private porch was beautiful, we could watch many birds which were not frightened of people at all.
