Set in a 1908 Gothic-style stone building in central Trondheim, Thon Hotel Nidaros is just 150 metres from Nordre gate shopping street. It offers free WiFi and rooms with flat-screen TV. Rarely on our travels we met a breakfast you could eat a whole week of. Literally everything you could wish for was there. Several kinds of egg, all of excellent level, accompanied by the best bacon/sausage. Huge variety of meat/cheese/fish. Hot and cold vegetables. Glutenfree options. Fruit in many ways (sliced, smoothie, juice). There were even lemon and ginger shots. It's all a lot, but it was still sorted out very delicate. The room itself had a fantastic shower and a beautiful view towards the train station with the fjord behind it. The staff was very friendly.
