Set in the Telemark village of Rauland, Austbø Hotell offers a free shuttle bus to Vierli Ski Center, 5 mi away. The location is perfect, off the beaten track by a beautiful lake. The staff were fantastic, feels like a family run place and everyone was very helpful and accommodating. They also had an amazing dog, but it is kept away from guests for anyone that isn't so keen.

We always enjoy the spacious rooms for board games and conversations, and there is sufficient privacy. The billiard/pool and table tennis facilities are helpful for social purposes. The swimming pool and the sauna were operational, but we had no time to use these. The breakfast was good. The dinner was OK. We liked all members of the staff, and we salute their gestures for making our stay good.

The Appartment is one of the prettiest and cozy vacation rentals we have been to. Tastefully furnished and decorated, clean and quietly situatied. Topped of with a nice Sauna and a fireplace in the Living Room. 10/10
