This hotel is set in a traditional country manor next to Park Old Ruitenborgh. It offers classically decorated rooms with free WiFi. Vollenhove centre city is 500 metres away. Stadspaleis hotel was the best hotel we stayed in for a long time. The hotel stands in a beautiful position, the staff was very helpful and friendly, public rooms were lovely and full of history, the comfortable bedrooms were well equipped and the restaurant was very cosy and served excellent food. Our stay of 1 night was too short and we hope to return there for a longer stay in the not too distant future.

The hotel is well located in a peaceful and quiet surrounding, away from urban areas, with ample parking. It was for us the ideal place to arrive on Friday evening and do daytrips to Schokland and the wider area on the following weekend days. The forest next to the hotel, with its interesting history (engineering models for waterworks,...) was a welcome and surprising plus. Even on a rainy Sunday, we enjoyed a long walk there on the concrete paths. Everything felt brand new (and was brand new in fact). The breakfast was great, and also the DuCo restaurant offers great diner options, which we gladly used. Comfort of the roomy hotelrooms is high level, and the choice of colours in the rooms and hotel creates a relaxing atmosphere. Also to be mentioned of course is the very friendly and professional staff who make the picture perfect! Thank you!

Interesting as part of an exploration of the polders and their history (good museum in Schokland and another in Lelystad) and the seven land art installations in Flevoland. Sadly a couple of them are rather overgrown and heavy rain meant that we didn't see the last two this time. Still a good focus for a two day trip.
Zeewolde
We travel to Flevoland for work, and the area does not have many hotels. This place works well for us, and the kids get to use the very nice pool. The site is very peaceful, and it is very well-priced.
The hotel was nice and we were able to bring our bicycles right to the room. The neighborhood was pretty vibrant with good grocery store and restaurants nearby.

The staf was super nice! And the rooms were beautiful! Even in the hallways there was a beautiful mirror. I really loved the look of the whole place! The beds were super comfortable as always. And the fact that there were two bathrooms also came in handy. We all really enjoyed our stay and we were all very happy and had a great sleep.

I love the location which is next to a little lake and the woods. It was also close to the cycle path that we took traversing the road along the lake from Enkhuizen. There were many cycle paths around, plenty of birds and trees. The place was close to the main road where vehicles used daily but we were not bothered by it because our room was next to the lake that we could even see the sunset from the window. It would have nice if we had a room with a balcony. The room was spacious with the amenities we needed for our stay. There was air-conditioning though we didn't use it because the fan was enough. They even provided water which was a surprise because normally water costs a lot in Netherlands. The food was great! We even got the soup buffet which was fantastic!

This was my first stay in a camp ever and I have to say that I am very satisfied. I did a right choice and selected a small hut (1 night stay) and I felt very cosy in it. It is a great camp 2 km from Urk and midst fantastic nature, fantastically cared lawns and sufficient offer of food & snacks. Reception staff very friendly, you can order snacks at the reception and pick them up next morning for a fresh breakfast. A pity I could stay only 1 night but I had to go on (I travelled by car and did 4000 km in 8 days visiting 7 countries). There is also a pool and playground for kids and pony horses. And there are 3 beautiful cats in the camp going around. One of them was insisting and I let him in the hut and he jumped on a bed immediatelly to lie down. I like cats and please my request to camp staff: please keep some food and water for cats so they can eat and drink and enjoy in the camp, too. Thank you.
