The lagoon area is nice to walk. Parque Museo La Venta is great, just remember insect repellent. The regional museum is also good, which has a really nice little cafe in the building next door. Villahermosa is a great stop off point to get to other places like Palenque (bus trip is 2 1/2 hours). Taxis are shared. They will stop and ask where you are going, and take off if not where you want to go. The modern shopping centres are nice and there is a great little handicraft store at Tabasco 2000. Villahermosa continues to develop and has a certain charm. Cool little art gallery in the centre as well. Some cool nature parks in places around Villahermosa, a couple of hours away.

Located in the central downtown area one block from the main pedestrian shopping area. Many restaurant options within easy walking distance. Tasty breakfast from 7 - 11am. The Plaza Altabrisa Tabasco is a huge, modern, shopping center nearby with about 175 businesses. It's about 10 minutes by taxi from the hotel.

Large business style hotel of the fancier sort. Clean and quiet room, friendly staff and onsite parking. Wifi worked well. Within walking distance to the La Venta museum (through a beautiful park). A large supermarket is also within walking distance. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and found it very good. Would definitely stay there again.

Breakfast in the dining room was limited to 1 price for the extensive buffet. I ate only fruit, coffee and a pastry and was charged the full amount. I argued this was unreasonable but still had to pay about 200 pesos. I think a continental option should be available.
Very kind staff. They not only allowed but welcomed our 2 md/lg dogs. The security guard was awesome. It felt safe and clean. We were able to park in a gated parking lot. Wifi worked well. TV had streaming platforms we could sign into. The restaurant on site had delicious food with good variety on their menu. I was able to enjoy a hot shower there. We could find everything we needed in town as well.
