He helped me with the WiFi password and the WiFi was excellent. Every person made me feel welcome with smiles. The señoritas Elvira and Coleta, housekeeping were sweet asked repeatedly if I needed anything. Alejandra, daytime reception was equally attentive to me and other guests. They were all wonderful hosts. There were three plazas in centro, and this hotel looks over one of them. Everything in easy walking distance. I will look forward to returning.

Colima is a very beautiful city in Mexico. There are several local places to eat the most delicious food. Dont be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and eat at restaurants where you only see locals. We stayed in the capital and went on different scenic trips by ourselfs. Colima has alot to offer to nature lovers. Be quick though their eco tourism is still in their begin stages and thats the perfect time to really enjoy it!!!
Had doctors appointment and then left the city. Did not have time to visit this trip but like Colima very much. Lovely city
City needs to improve it's image. We drove in by car from Colima, and first impressions were of a port, not a resort town. Beaches such as Audiencia are great for swimming.
This city offers culture, Museums, gardens, zoo and friendly people in a small easy to walk space. Very pedestrian friendly. Colima is very inexpensive relative to other Mexicano cities. There are two archaeological sites in the metro área. Free WiFi in the gardens and the zoo. Very difficult to select a favorito place; so many great experiencia.
Small town, very close to a bigger city and really close to the active Volcano Colima. Great eateries and pubs! Good locally produced coffee and chocolate everywhere.
We live in Barra de Navidad so Colima is out goto city and it is wonderful. Shopping is great, Don't miss La Marina and Plaza San Fernando with one of the best food courts ever. Try Gorditas at Doña Totas and great coffee at Black Coffee under the trees.Further out is Liverpool, Sears, Sanborn's, Home Depot. I you are in town when the Ballet Folklorico is at the University of Colima Theater don't miss it. Check their other events as well.
The port area is nice. Much of the Centro area has been modernized. There is no historic plazas, ect. Must go to Colima for old history. East side of bay is high end hotels and large beachs. The city bus service is excellent. Hotel Colonal and Chantilly restaurants are excellent.
We owned a beach condo there for a number of years. There is the new part (Zona Hoteleria) and the old or original city. Other than the beach life and golf courses, there is not that much to do but it is close to visit such as Colima, the turtle sanctuary, deep sea fishing as well as drive up the coast to a number of other smaller villages. There are numerous new restaurants, especially in Las Brisas area where we chose to stay as is much quieter. We like to visit there about once a month or so as a change from inland living, Manzanillo is one of the largest ports on the Pacific and numerous cargo ships as well as cruise ships are in and out of the port, For those interested, there are also casinos. The Zona Hoteleria is much more modern with the likes of Sam Club, Home Depot, Wal-Mart etc.
Not much in the way of food. Best options are the Best Western and the Hotel Americas. Two very nice small museums in Colima. Stay there for a trip to Comala (magic village) which also has a great small museum in the neighboring town of Nogueras. Take a cab there. Don't let the policeman talk you into walking. Our bad!
Stay away, so many great places down jalisco coast, maybe there is a reason the rest of Mexico is like "what? Colima?"
What a breathe of fresh air. Not only do they have some English-speaking staff, but the location of this hidden gem can not be beat. The girls were all incredibly friendly, my room had a great view of the square/fountain, and I felt safe throughout my entire stay. I found my new favorite hotel in Colima. Thank you Juarez 70, I hope to see you all again soon!
A very clean and comfortable hotel for a stay in Colima. It's a short walk from anywhere you might want to go. Room was large and great value.
In the heart of downtown Colima, everything at good walking distance. The hotel staff was friendly.
I was not expecting much from reading the reviews, however, I was pleasantly surprised. My stay was very nice and comfortable. The food was great and the staff was very nice. I will return.
Everything is all included so many activities
Great value for being steps away from beach, and walking distance to downtown waterfront area. Choice of 3-4 fun beach "shack" restaurants within 500 m of hotel. Industrial area location is a bit intimidating at first, but people are friendly, and I felt safe, despite not seeing another gringo in area for 3 night stay. This beach is popular w/local families, which is great to see. Place is pet-friendly, and our dogs loved it! There is a lighthouse point on the malecon, which gives you a close-up view of gargantuan container ships coming into port.
I have stayed at this hotel for the past 7 years. Great staff they are like family. Victor, Francisco, etc New Chef for the Restaurant is great.
My wife and I loved how it was right on the beach ! Pool was great too . Plenty of restaurants close by.
