The Breakfast was amazing and what do I tell you about the staff. Amazing through and through. Steward is a five star service person. Vanessa at the reception was a joy to converse with. There is also Christopher, Christopher and Kevans who were always happy to assist with a smile. What warmed our heart is the extra mile they went to cater for lunch and breakfast in the room during the Cyclonic conditions! For the lunch they didn't have to but they did at no extra costs for the client. If you want a hotel which has your back you made the right choice.

Tekoma is located directly on a stunning beach with local hikes and beaches to explore in the vicinity. The food was very good and we loved the room as well! Highly recommend staying here. Also recommend renting a car from the airport which allows you to get around the island easily.

We had an amazing stay at Le Marin, the view on the sea is just breathtaking, it is just a few minutes from the best beach of Rodrigues. The rooms have a perfect size and beds (twin room) are comfy, very clean. The hotel is still doing the finishes to part of the construction but it did not at all bother us as it is on the other side, no noise . The restaurant offered really delicious local meals and was careful to my food allergies, grateful to the kindness of the staff for making our stay memorable despite the cyclone nearby. The infinity edge pool was sparkling and wonderful. We have been to Rodrigues several times we have been really happy here. Thank you !

We both really enjoyed the location, quite remote and by the beach. The bedroom was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was great, the optional dinner as well. We particularly enjoyed our host, Fred, who has been a gem throughout our stay, always available for suggestions, advices, local stories and how life is on Rodrigues.

As Rodrigues is a small island, you can drive around the whole island in 2 days/ outings. We covered South, North & some parts of the East in 2 days. Le Marlin Bleu restaurant in Port Mathurin is excellent. Le Pandanus in Baie Malgache is good for local handicrafts & food; they are opening up a hotel next year. Anse Ally, St Francois & Trou d'Argent beaches are heavenly, don't miss them. Just that the twists & turns of the coastal road from Baie Malgache to Port Mathurin is fabulous. You can go up the hill to Mont Lubin for some chill in the evening & try local food on the way back. Also, you should try Zip line (Tyrodrig) in Le Pallisade; it is the longest in Indian Ocean area; wonderful view of the lagoon when you zipline from one hill to another.
The trip was fine but unfortunately Rodrigues Island is not yet well developped. For nature lovers it will be ok for them. For relaxing vacation Rodrigues is worth a trip.
Rodrigues Island is a picturesque and friendly holiday destination. There are plenty of opportunities to obtain freshly cooked delicious food.
Port Mathurin is the capital and main port, I was 10 min drive along the coastal road. It’s very quaint and shabby, but loads of character in the streets, shops, people are really friendly and helpful. Bakery staff advised me on best bread for me to buy (5.4 MRupees) me and the birds love it. I spent a couple of hours wondering around. Very new tourist information centre, with history boards about Rodrigues on the walls, well worth a read. Lots of leaflets about activities, tours in French, very little in English. I should have learnt French. For a lone traveller it’s a lovely safe destination. People are delighted to help with directions etc. I drove round most of the island visiting beaches, villages, mountain roads. did a boat trip to isle aux cocos, also tortoise caves.
