As others have said, the on-site restaurant is really good - service, portion size, and quality. We were in room 101 which is next to the stairs and nearest the road. We are light sleepers, but the hotel is quiet enough that the room’s ambient noise was not a big issue during our stay. Good bathroom with a shower curtain and dry floors. They even have a marked path down to the River Tara behind the hotel. Staff were all very nice. Amazing value.

Outside there is a big yard with a couple of places where you can sit and enjoy birds singing and the sounds of the nearby river. In the yard, there are animals, ducks, chickens, a cow, and two very playful dogs that followed us around. There is also a little pond. Inside you can burn wood, which is great in the evening. Terrace is amazing for drinking coffee, reading and sitting in peace. We enjoyed our time here, and we would be happy to come again!
