It’s a little paradise of Pāvilosta! We liked everything, the staff was exceptional, always smiling and ready to help. The room was comfortable with excellent bed and the softest bedsheets. There are coffee&tea facilities in the room as well as free coffee and water next to the reception. The breakfast also was very good, more on the savoury side (as this is more typical for a Latvian breakfast), but there were also pastries for the ones with a sweet tooth. We also tried their restaurant for dinner and it was very good indeed! Last but not least, I have to mention the free wine tasting for the clients every afternoon - such a nice touch to an already exceptional stay!

Absolutely fantastic place and house. Cozy, old style, but very comfortable and quiet. The location is amazing- few meters from sea coast- beautiful, unspoiled spot… The host was helpful, nice and welcoming. Dinner in the restaurant is the best in the big region of Latvia- Kurzeme. Nice place to hike- to the coast of The Baltic Sea.

Location is superb, beach is practically empty, the hotel itself is clean and modern with super good breakfast. Reception is helpful and nice. Really enjoyed our two night visit! Also I recommend to have a taste of wine which is already in your room. Thank you and will be back for sure!
It's a perfect little green house with tiny little cute details all around - both in the common areas and in the room. I had a beautiful and comfortable single room on the first floor also accessible for disabled people. The bed was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast in the morning was simple, but fresh and filling, and of decent variety. It's a pity that I had just one night here - would definitely come back if again in Ventspils.
Excellent facilities for a romantic stay. Great SPA: milk bath tubs, fantastic breakfast, very delicious food, beautiful view from the terrace.
Second time visiting, as a room happened to open up last second. Hosts are very helpful, central location, and very reasonable rates make Portoss a great pick. Breakfast available for a small fee is warm and filling. Appreciate that they welcomes our small dog too!

the landlord is uncomplicated and really helpful. There were no problems by check-in and check-out. They are very flexible. the shared sanitary facilities were cleaned regularly. the water on site is drinkable, even if it has a strong aftertaste (I only drank it boiled) we loved it.
Great resort area on beach. Many options for lodging from tent camping, "boat" campers and small rooms.
